Many scholars consider the evolution of God within Buddhism as an effect of Hinduism.

Many Buddhists adopted the local god and thus the religion of ‘No-God’ was transformed into the religion of ‘Many-Gods’ – big and small, strong and weak and male and female. The ‘Man-God’ appears on earth in human form and incarnates from time to time. Buddha was against the caste-system prevalent in the Hindu society.
-------------------------
proof this wrong;
Six Criteria for Identifying Buddha:

According to the Gospel of Buddha by Carus pg. 214:
"The Blessed one said, ‘There are two occasions on which a Tathagata’s appearance becomes clear and exceedingly bright. In the night Ananda, in which a Tathagata attains to the supreme and perfect insight, and in the night in which he passes finally away in that ultra passing which leaves nothing whatever of his earthly existence to remain.’ "
According to Gautam Buddha, following are the six criteria for identifying a Buddha.

i) A Buddha attains supreme and perfect insight at night-time.

ii) On the occasion of his complete enlightenment he looks exceedingly bright

iii) A Buddha dies a natural death.

iv) He dies at night-time.

v) He looks exceedingly bright before his death.

vi) After his death a Buddha ceases to exist on earth.

i) Muhammad (pbuh) attained supreme insight and Prophethood at night-time.
According to Surah Dukhan:
"By the books that makes thing clear – We sent it down during a blessed night."
[Al-Qur'an 44:2-3]
According to Surah Al-Qadar:
"We have indeed revealed this (message) in the night of power."
[Al-Qur'an 97:1]

ii) Muhammad (pbuh) instantly felt his understanding illumined with celestial light.

iii) Muhammad (pbuh) died a natural death.
iv) According to Ayesha (r.a.), Muhammad (pbuh) expired at night-time. When he was dying there was no oil in the lamp and his wife Ayesha (r.a.) had to borrow oil for the lamp.

v) According to Anas (r.a.), Muhammad (pbuh) looked exceedingly bright in the night of his death.

vi) After the burial of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) he was never seen again in his bodily form on this earth.

5. Buddhas are only Preachers:

According to Dhammapada, Sacred Books of East volume 10 pg., 67:
"The Jathagatas (Buddhas) are only Preachers."
The Qur’an says in Surah Ghashiya:
"Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs." [Al-Qur'an 88:21-22]
6. Identification of Maitreya by Buddha:

According to Dhammapada, Mattaya Sutta, 151:
"The promised one will be:
i) Compassionate for the whole creation
ii) A messenger of peace, a peace-maker
iii) The most successful in the world.

The Maitreya as a Preacher of morals will be:
i) Truthful
ii) Self-respecting
iii) Gentle and noble
iv) Not proud
v) As a king to creatures
vi) An example to others in deeds and in words".

Welcome back, however: This is wrong: "Many Buddhists adopted the local god and thus the religion of ‘No-God’ was transformed into the religion of ‘Many-Gods’ – big and small, strong and weak and male and female." If you read Thripitaka you will find many original teachings on Gods, you have very poor knowledge about Buddhism, anyone can misguide you by giving you wrong information about Buddhism.

No one have a knowledge in this world who can identify a Buddha, only another Buddha can identify a Buddha. Those Criteria just a out look of his life. I don't remember all those information about this Six Criterias, But I believe it is written in Tripitaka which anyone can copy to after many years to make people assume that they sent the Buddha.
·

Buddhism not only known in Asia, but also it was available in Middle-East at the time when the Quaran was written.
And I already anwered more about this Six Criteria within this conversation. If you recheck my answers you will find them.

I'm not a special person, I told you about me. I'm not angry with any person or religion, but usually I don't think twice to tell anyone about what I feel or think about them or about something else. I thought you will not reply me again, and I thought you were trying to convert me with your fake miracles, which someone can't find reliable evidence to prove them, and even I couldn't find clear evidence about it and which you shouldn't use to convert people who can't find clear evidence about it. Once you stop replying without a notice I lost my respect on you. As you guessed about me, it is true that I'm not trying my best to follow Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eight fold path, but I follow it as much as I can, and it is not easy to follow the path by staying with some people who don't help to do so, and as same as many others I have some more responsibilities, emotional barriers which makes me nervous and disappointed. But within few years, I intend to give much more time to develop my mind. However you might not able to find anyone on Facebook who really follow the path. Those who really want to follow it usually stay away from persons and things which might break or delay their purpose. Buddha advised monks to stay away from women, and If a woman is coming to him don't look at her, and If you had to look at her don't talk with her, and If you had to talk with her then do it consciously. There are lot of hidden truths of monks in Buddhism which we will never know, We can't recognize enlightened monks with our knowledge, only another highly enlightened monk can recognize them. They don't worry about the world and they don't want to be famous or rich, they just want to achieve their spiritual goals. I also don't mind about whatever you do or even the entire world converted to Islam, and we can't control the world. It will happen on actions of living beings and the nature, which it is not a duty of a spiritual practitioner to change or control it, but following the path which is in front of him.

Buddha advised monks to stay away from women, and If a woman is coming to him don't look at her, and If you had to look at her don't talk with her, and If you had to talk with her then do it consciously
like in quran;
Tell the believing men to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do.
----
And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their head-covers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.

I think, The Great Buddha was a Prophet.
Don't be Bigot.
if u accept or not, u created by Allah.
(So when there came to them the truth from Us, they said, "Indeed, this is obvious magic.")
And say, "Truth has come, and falsehood has departed. Indeed is falsehood, [by nature], ever bound to depart."

Question:
Is Islam a cult? I don't understand how this religion can be embraced by so many. It's inconceivable that such hatred has ever been collected in a single population such as that which calls itself Muslim. Mohammad, and indeed, his followers, are way off the path. Stop your attacks on non-Muslims.
- JohnGuerra
Answer:
The two meanings of the word ‘cult’ according to the Oxford dictionary are as follows:
1) “A way of life, an attitude, an idea etc. that has become very popular”.
2) “A small group of people who have extreme religious beliefs and who are not part of any established religion”.
By referring to Islam as a cult, if you intend to imply the first meaning, then yes Islam is a way of life – in fact it is ‘THE way of life’ prescribed for humankind by the Creator. I am aware that most widely, the second meaning of the word cult is implied. In that context, Islam is not a cult.
Many people have a misconception that Islam is a new religion and Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was the founder of Islam. However, let me clarify that Islam is not the name of some unique religion presented for the first time by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who should, on that account be called the founder of Islam.
The Qur’an states that Islam – the complete submission of man before his one and only Unique Creator – is the one and only faith and way of life consistently revealed by God to humankind from the very beginning. Noah, Solomon, David, Abraham, Moses, Isaac and Jesus (pbut) – prophets who appeared at different times and places – all propagated the same faith and conveyed the same message of Tawheed (Oneness of God), Risaalat (Prophethood) and Aakhirah (the Hereafter). These prophets of God were not founders of different religions to be named after them. They were each reiterating the message and faith of their predecessors.
However, Muhammad (pbuh) was the last Prophet of God. God revived through him the same genuine faith which had been conveyed by all His Prophets. This original message was earlier corrupted and split into various religions by people of different ages, who indulged in interpolations and admixture. These alien elements were eliminated by God, and Islam – in its pure and original form – was transmitted to humankind through Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
Since there was to be no messenger after Muhammad (pbuh), the Book revealed to him (i.e. the Glorious Qur’an) was preserved word for word so that it should be a source of guidance for all times.
Thus the religion of all the prophets was ‘total submission to God’s will’ and one word for that in the Arabic language is ‘Islam’. Abraham and Jesus (peace be upon them) too were Muslims, as Allah testifies in Al-Qur'an 3:67 and 3:52 respectively.

Question:
Religion, if it is true, should be able to stand scientific scrutiny. Is there an Islamic arena where this kind of discussion is possible?
- Eugene Faulstich
Answer:
It is true, that if a religion is true, it should be able to stand scientific scrutiny.
The Glorious Qur’an is the last and final revelation of God. For any book to claim to be the Word of God, it should stand the test of time. Previously, it was the age of miracles. The Qur'an is the miracle of miracles. Later on, came the age of literature and poetry. Muslims as well as non-Muslims agree that Al-Qur’an is Arabic literature par excellence - that it is the best Arabic literature on the face of the earth. However, today, it’s the age of science and technology, and the Qur'an passes this test as well.
According to the famous physicist and Nobel Prize winner, Albert Einstein, "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind."
It should however, be borne in mind that the Qur'an is not a book of ‘Science’ but rather a book of ‘Signs’ i.e. Ayaat. There are more than 6,000 signs (Ayaat) in the Qur'an out of which more than a thousand speak of Science. The Qur'anic data on science does not conflict with any of the established scientific fact. It may go against certain scientific hypothesis or theories, which are not grounded in facts as many a times science takes U-turns. A number of verses of the Qur'an speak on various different subjects of science, such as Astronomy, Physics, Geography, Geology, Oceanology, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Medicine, Physiology, Embryology as well as General Science.
There have been several arenas where people have discussed a number of issues related to comparative religion. Islam encourages reasoning, discussions and dialogues. Allah says:
“Invite (all) to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious”. (Al-Qur'an 16:125)
With regards to discussions on the theme of your question, I had a public dialogue in April 2000, in Chicago USA, on the subject ‘The Qur'an and the Bible in the Light of Science’ with a Christian, Dr. William Campbell from the USA.
Dr. William Campbell had written a book trying to point out scientific errors in the Qur'an. In the dialogue, I refuted all the allegations that he made against the Qur'an while he could not refute any of the 38 scientific errors in the Bible pointed out by me. You may refer to the video of that debate which is available for sale world-wide

WAS ISLAM SPREAD BY THE SWORD?
Question:
How can Islam be called the religion of peace when it was spread by the sword?
Answer:
It is a common complaint among some non-Muslims that Islam would not have millions of adherents all over the world, if it had not been spread by the use of force. The following points will make it clear, that far from being spread by the sword, it was the inherent force of truth, reason and logic that was responsible for the rapid spread of Islam.
1. Islam means peace
Islam comes from the root word ‘salaam’, which means peace. It also means submitting one’s will to Allah (swt). Thus Islam is a religion of peace, which is acquired by submitting one’s will to the will of the Supreme Creator, Allah (swt).
2. Sometimes force has to be used to maintain peace
Each and every human being in this world is not in favour of maintaining peace and harmony. There are many, who would disrupt it for their own vested interests. Sometimes force has to be used to maintain peace. It is precisely for this reason that we have the police who use force against criminals and anti-social elements to maintain peace in the country. Islam promotes peace. At the same time, Islam exhorts its followers to fight where there is oppression. The fight against oppression may, at times, require the use of force. In Islam force can only be used to promote peace and justice.
3. Opinion of historian De Lacy O’Leary
The best reply to the misconception that Islam was spread by the sword is given by the noted historian De Lacy O’Leary in the book “Islam at the cross road” (Page 8):
“History makes it clear however, that the legend of fanatical Muslims sweeping through the world and forcing Islam at the point of the sword upon conquered races is one of the most fantastically absurd myths that historians have ever repeated.”
4. Muslims ruled Spain for 800 years
Muslims ruled Spain for about 800 years. The Muslims in Spain never used the sword to force the people to convert. Later the Christian Crusaders came to Spain and wiped out the Muslims. There was not a single Muslim in Spain who could openly give the adhaan, that is the call for prayers.
5. 14 million Arabs are Coptic Christians
Muslims were the lords of Arabia for 1400 years. For a few years the British ruled, and for a few years the French ruled. Overall, the Muslims ruled Arabia for 1400 years. Yet today, there are 14 million Arabs who are Coptic Christians i.e. Christians since generations. If the Muslims had used the sword there would not have been a single Arab who would have remained a Christian.
6. More than 80% non-Muslims in India
The Muslims ruled India for about a thousand years. If they wanted, they had the power of converting each and every non-Muslim of India to Islam. Today more than 80% of the population of India are non- Muslims. All these non-Muslim Indians are bearing witness today that Islam was not spread by the sword.
7. Indonesia and Malaysia
Indonesia is a country that has the maximum number of Muslims in the world. The majority of people in Malaysia are Muslims. May one ask, “which Muslim army went to Indonesia and Malaysia?”
8. East Coast of Africa
Similarly, Islam has spread rapidly on the East Coast of Africa. One may again ask, if Islam was spread by the sword, “which Muslim army went to the East Coast of Africa?”
9. Thomas Carlyle
The famous historian, Thomas Carlyle, in his book “Heroes and Hero worship”, refers to this misconception about the spread of Islam:
“The sword indeed, but where will you get your sword! Every new opinion, at its starting is, precisely in a minority of one. In one man’s head alone, there it dwells as yet. One man alone of the whole world believes it, there is one man against all men. That he takes a sword, and try to propagate with that, will do little for him. You must first get your sword! On the whole, a thing will propagate itself as it can.”
10. No compulsion in religion
With which sword was Islam spread? Even if Muslims had it they could not use it to spread Islam because the Qur’an says in the following verse:
“Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from error”
[Al Qur’an 2:256]
11. Sword of the Intellect
It is the sword of intellect. The sword that conquers the hearts and minds of people. The Qur’an says in Surah An Nahl, Chapter 16 Verse 125:
“Invite (all) to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious.”
[Al Qur’an 16:125]
12. Increase in the world religions from 1934 to 1984
An article in Reader’s Digest ‘Almanac’, year book 1986, gave the statistics of the increase of percentage of the major religions of the world in half a century from 1934 to 1984. This article also appeared in ‘The Plain Truth’ magazine. At the top was Islam, which increased by 235%, and Christianity had increased only by 47%. May one ask, which war took place in this century which converted millions of people to Islam?
13. Islam is the fastest growing religion in America and Europe
Today the fastest growing religion in America is Islam. The fastest growing religion in Europe is Islam. Which sword is forcing people in the West to accept Islam in such large numbers?
14. Dr Joseph Adam Pearson
Dr Joseph Adam Pearson rightly says, “People who worry that nuclear weaponry will one day fall in the hands of the Arabs, fail to realize that the Islamic bomb has been dropped already, it fell the day MUHAMMAD (pbuh) was born.”

HEREAFTER - LIFE AFTER DEATH
Question
How can you prove the existence of hereafter, i.e. life after death?
Answer
1. Belief in the hereafter is not based on blind faith
Many people wonder as to how a person with a scientific and logical temperament, can lend any credence to the belief of life after death. People assume that anyone believing in the hereafter is doing so on the basis of blind belief.
My belief in the hereafter is based on a logical argument.
2. ‘Hereafter’ is a logical belief
There are more than a thousand verses in the Glorious Qur’an, containing scientific facts (refer my book “Qur’an and Modern Science - Compatible or Incompatible?”). Many facts mentioned in the Qur’an have been discovered in the last few centuries. But science has not advanced to a level where it can confirm every statement of the Qur’an.
Suppose 80% of all that is mentioned in the Qur’an has been proved 100% correct. About the remaining 20%, science makes no categorical statement, since it has not advanced to a level, where it can either prove or disprove these statements. With the limited knowledge that we have, we cannot say for sure whether even a single percentage or a single verse of the Qur’an from this 20% portion is wrong. Thus when 80% of the Qur’an is 100% correct and the remaining 20% is not disproved, logic says that even the 20% portion is correct. The existence of the hereafter, which is mentioned in the Qur’an, falls in the 20% ambiguous portion which my logic says is correct.
3. Concept of peace and human values is useless without the concept of hereafter
Is robbing a good or an evil act? A normal balanced person would say it is evil. How would a person who does not believe in the hereafter convince a powerful and influential criminal that robbing is evil?
Suppose I am the most powerful and influential criminal in the world. At the same time I am an Intelligent and a logical person. I say that robbing is good because it helps me lead a luxurious life. Thus robbing is good for me.
If anybody can put forward a single logical argument as to why it is evil for me, I will stop immediately. People usually put forward the following arguments:
a. The person who is robbed will face difficulties
Some may say that the person who is robbed will face difficulties. I certainly agree that it is bad for the person who is robbed. But it is good for me. If I rob a thousand dollars, I can enjoy a good meal at a 5 star restaurant.
b. Someone may rob you
Some people argue that someday I may be robbed. No one can rob me because I am a very powerful criminal and I have hundreds of bodyguards. I can rob anybody but nobody can rob me. Robbing may be a risky profession for a common man but not for an influential person like me.
c. The police may arrest you
Some may say, if you rob, you can be arrested by the police. The police cannot arrest me because I have the police on my payroll. I have the ministers on my payroll. I agree that if a common man robs, he will be arrested and it will be bad for him, but I am an extraordinarily influential and powerful criminal.
Give me one logical reason why it is bad for me and I will stop robbing.
d. It’s easy money
Some may say it’s easy money and not hard-earned money. I agree completely that it is easy money, and that is one of the main reasons why I rob. If a person has the option of earning money the easy as well as the hard way, any logical person would choose the easy way.
e. It is against humanity
Some may say it is against humanity and that a person should care for other human beings. I counter argue by asking as to who wrote this law called ‘humanity’ and why should I follow it?
This law may be good for the emotional and sentimental people but I am a logical person and I see no benefit in caring for other human beings.
f. It is a selfish act
Some may say that robbing is being selfish. It is true that robbing is a selfish act; but then why should I not be selfish? It helps me enjoy life.
4. No logical reason for robbing being an evil act
Hence all arguments that attempt to prove that robbing is an evil act are futile. These arguments may satisfy a common man but not a powerful and influential criminal like me. None of the arguments can be defended on the strength of reason and logic. It is no surprise that there are so many criminals in this world.
Similarly raping, cheating, etc. can be justified as good for a person like me and there is no logical argument that can convince me that these things are bad.
5. A Muslim can convince a powerful and influential criminal
Now let us switch sides. Suppose you are the most powerful and influential criminal in the world, who has the police and the ministers on his payroll. You have army of thugs to protect you. I am a Muslim who will convince you that robbing, raping, cheating, etc. are evil acts.
Even if I put forth the same arguments to prove that robbing is evil, the criminal will respond the same way as he did earlier.
I agree that the criminal is being logical and all his arguments are true only when he is the most powerful and influential criminal.
6. Every human being wants justice
Each and every human being desires justice. Even if he does not want justice for others he wants justice for himself. Some people are intoxicated by power and influence and inflict pain and suffering on others. The same people, however, would surely object if some injustice was done to them. The reason such people become insensitive to the suffering of others is that they worship power and influence. Power and influence, they feel, not only allow them to inflict injustice on others but also prevent others from doing likewise to them.
7. God is Most Powerful and Just
As a Muslim I would convince the criminal about the existence of Almighty God (refer to answer proving the existence of God). This God is more powerful than you and at the same time is also just. The Glorious Qur’an says:
“Allah is never unjust in the least degree:”
[Al Qur’an 4:40]
8. Why doesn’t God punish me?
The criminal, being a logical and scientific person, agrees that God exists, after being presented with scientific facts from the Qur’an. He may argue as to why God, if He is Powerful and Just, does not punish him.
9. The people who do injustice should be punished
Every person who has suffered injustice, irrespective of financial or social status, almost certainly wants the perpetrator of injustice to be punished. Every normal person would like the robber or the rapist to be taught a lesson. Though a large number of criminals are punished, many even go scot-free.
They lead a pleasant, luxurious life, and even enjoy a peaceful existence. If injustice is done to a powerful and influential person, by someone more powerful and more influential than him, even such a person would want that perpetrator of injustice to be punished.
10. This life is a test for the hereafter
This life is a test for the hereafter. The Glorious Qur’an says:
“He who created death and life, that He may try which of you is best in deed; and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving”
[Al Qur’an 67:2]
11. Final justice on the day of judgement
The Glorious Qur’an says:
“Every soul shall have a taste of death: and only on the Day of Judgement shall you be paid your full recompense. Only he who is saved far from the Fire and admitted to the Garden will have attained the object (of life): for the life of this world is but goods and chattels of deception.”
[Al Qur’an 3:185]
Final justice will be meted out on the day of judgement. After a person dies, he will be resurrected on the day of judgement along with the rest of humankind. It is possible that a person receives part of his punishment in this world. The final reward Almighty may not punish a robber or a rapist in this world but he will surely be held accountable on the day of judgement and will be punished in the hereafter i.e. life after death.
12. What punishment can the human law give Hitler?
Hitler incinerated six million Jews during his reign of terror. Even if the police had arrested him, what punishment can the human law give Hitler for justice to prevail? The most they can do is to send Hitler to the gas chamber. But that will only be punishment for the killing of one Jew. What about the remaining five million, nine hundred and ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine Jews?
13. Allah can burn Hitler more than six million times in the hellfire
Allah say in the Glorious Qur’an:
“Those who reject Our signs, We shall soon cast into the Fire; as often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for fresh skins, that they may taste the penalty: for Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise”
[Al Qur’an 4:56]
If Allah wishes He can incinerate Hitler six million times in the hereafter in the hellfire.
14. No concept of human values or good and bad without concept of hereafter
It is clear that without convincing a person about the hereafter, i.e. life after death, the concept of human values and the good or evil nature of acts is impossible to prove to any person who is doing injustice especially when he is influential and powerful.

Question
All religions basically teach followers to do good deeds. Why should a person only follow Islam? Can he not follow any of the religions?
Answer
1. Major difference between Islam and most other religions
All religions basically exhort humankind to be righteous and eschew evil. But Islam goes beyond that. It guides us towards practical ways of achieving righteousness and eliminating evil from our individual and collective lives. Islam takes into account human nature and the complexities of human society. Islam is guidance from the Creator Himself. Therefore, Islam is also called the Deen-ul- Fitrah (the natural religion of Man).
2. Example - Islam commands us to shun robbery and also prescribes method of eliminating robbery
a. Islam prescribes method of eliminating robbery
All major religions teach that theft is an evil act. Islam teaches the same. So what is the difference between Islam and the other religions? The difference lies in the fact that Islam, besides teaching that robbing is evil, shows a practical way of creating a social structure in which people will not rob.
b. Islam prescribes Zakaat
Islam prescribes a system of Zakaat (obligatory annual charity). Islamic law prescribes that every person who has a saving that exceeds the nisaab level i.e. more than 85 grams of gold, should give 2.5% of that saving every lunar year in charity. If every rich person in the world gives Zakaat sincerely, poverty will be eradicated from this world. Not a single human being would die of hunger.
c. Chopping-off the hand as punishment for robbery
Islam prescribes chopping-off the hand of the convicted robber. The Glorious Qur’an says in Surah Al Maidah:
“As to the thief, male or female, cut off his or her hands: a punishment by way of example, from Allah, for their crime: and Allah is Exalted in power, full of wisdom.”
[ Al-Qur’an 5:38]
The non-Muslim may say, “Chopping-off the hand in this 20th century. Islam is a barbaric and ruthless religion!”
d. Results achieved when Islamic Shari’ah is Implemented
America is supposed to be one of the most advanced countries in the world. Unfortunately it also has one of the highest rates of crime, theft, and robbery. Suppose the Islamic shari’ah is implemented in America i.e. every rich person gives Zakaat ( 2.5% of his savings in charity above 85 grams of gold every lunar year), and every convicted robber has his or her hand chopped-off as a punishment. Will the rate of theft and robbery in America increase, remain same or decrease? Naturally it will decrease. Moreover, the existence of such a stringent law would discourage many a potential robber.
I agree that the amount of theft that takes place in the world today is so tremendous that if you chop-off the hand of all the thieves, there will be tens of thousands of people whose hands will be chopped off. The point here is that the moment you implement this law the rate of theft will decline immediately. The potential robber would give it a serious thought before jeopardizing his limbs. The mere thought of the punishment itself will discourage majority of the robbers. There will barely be a few who would rob. Hence only a few persons’ hand would be chopped-off but millions would live peacefully without fear of being robbed.
Islamic Shari’ah is therefore practical, and achieves results.

The word 'Buddha' is a title and not a name. It means 'one who is awake' in the sense of having 'woken up to reality'. It was first given to a man who was born as Siddhartha Gautama in Nepal 2,500 years ago. He did not claim to be a God and he has never been regarded as such by Buddhists. He was a human being who became Enlightened, understanding life in the deepest way possible.
Siddharta was born into the royal family of a small kingdom on the Indian-Nepalese border. According to the traditional story he had a cloistered upbringing, but was jolted out of complacency on understanding that life includes the harsh facts of old age, sickness, and death.
He left home to follow the traditional Indian path of the wandering holy man, a seeker after Truth. He practised meditation under various teachers and then took to asceticism. Eventually he practised austerities so severe that he was on the point of death - but true understanding seemed as far away as ever. He decided to abandon this path and to look into his own heart and mind. He sat down beneath the pipal tree and vowed that 'flesh may wither, blood may dry up, but I shall not rise from this spot until Enlightenment has been won.' After forty days, the Buddha finally attained Enlightenment.
Buddhists believe that he attained a state of being that goes beyond anything else in the world. If normal experience is based on conditions - upbringing, psychology, opinions, perceptions, and so on - Enlightenment is Unconditioned. It was a state in which the Buddha gained Insight into the deepest workings of life and therefore into the cause of human suffering, the problem that had set him on his spiritual quest in the first place.
During the remaining 45 years of his life he travelled through much of northern India, spreading his teaching of the way to Enlightenment. The teaching is known in the East as the Buddha-dharma - 'the teaching of the Enlightened One'. Travelling from place to place, the Buddha taught numerous disciples, many of whom gained Enlightenment in their own right. They, in turn, taught others and in this way an unbroken chain of teaching has continued, right down to the present day.
The Buddha was not a God and he made no claim to divinity. He was a human being who, through tremendous efforts, transformed himself. Buddhists see him as an ideal and a guide who can lead one to Enlightenment oneself.
When asked what he believed Budda said:
"We believe that each human being is precious and important, that all have the potential to develop into a Buddha – a perfected human being. We believe that human beings can outgrow ignorance and irrationality and see things as they really are. We believe that hatred, anger, spite and jealousy can be replaced by love, patience, generosity and kindness."
Buddhism has contains some positive moral principles. Buddhist scriptures warn people against stealing, encourages them to be helpful to one another and cleanse themselves of selfishness and worldly ambitions. All of this suggests that Buddhism possibly began as a religion founded on God's revelation, only to become corrupted over the course of time.
In the Qur'an, God tells us that to every nation, He sent messengers to deliver His warnings:
We have sent you [Muhammad] with the truth bringing good news and giving warning. There is no community to which a warner has not come. (Qur'an, 35: 24)
We sent a Messenger among every people saying: "Worship God and keep clear of all false gods." Among them were some whom God guided, but others received the misguidance they deserved… (Qur'an, 16: 36)
Elsewhere in the Qur'an, He affirms that, "Every nation has a Messenger" (10: 47) and "every nation [is] summoned to its Book" (45: 28). These verses show us that God could certainly have sent a messenger to the Hindus; and one of them could have been Siddhartha Gautama. Buddhism resembles revealed religion in another one of its tenets: that throughout history, prophets have come to reveal the same truths to humanity, but after them, human followers have debased these religious truths. Indeed, after Gautama's death, his teaching may have lost its roots and become distorted in just this way, mixing with the religions and cultures of the countries to which it spread, and assimilating various local myths and superstitions. (But of course, only God knows the truth.)
In such case, doubtless the real biography of Siddhartha Gautama would be much different from the mythological stories about him that we know today. There exist conflicting versions of his life story-a clear sign that the reality may have been probably quite different from the "history" we are now familiar with. Some of the true moral principles that Buddhism promotes lead us to believe that it might have developed from an originally monotheistic religion. Western scholar J. M. Robertson explains the Buddhist belief of the "chain of prophets":
[Buddhism] did not claim to be a new teaching. The tradition holds that it had been promulgated many times before-that Gotama [sic] was only one of a long series of Buddhas who arise at intervals and who all teach the same doctrine.
The names of twenty-four of such Buddhas who appeared before Gotama have been recorded . . . It was held that after the death of each Buddha, his religion flourishes for a time and then decays. After it is forgotten, a new Buddha emerges and preaches the lost Dhamma, or Truth.14
All of this suggests that Buddhism could be one of the perverse, distorted beliefs that came to degenerate in the wake of the prophets. On the other hand, Buddhism's set, conservative structure reminds one of the classic distortions that can occur during the degeneration of the true religion.
In the Qur'an, God says that Christians and Jews have fallen into the same trap and have smothered their religions with useless minutiae and prohibitions. For example, erroneous ideas in Buddhism about withdrawing from the world and subjecting one's self to pain also arose in Christianity as it degenerated through the years. God speaks of this error in the Qur'an (57: 27):
Then We sent Our Messengers following in their footsteps and sent Jesus son of Mary after them, giving him the Gospel. We put compassion and mercy in the hearts of those who followed him. They invented monasticism-We did not prescribe it for them-purely out of desire to gain the pleasure of God, but even so, they did not observe it as it should have been observed. To those of them who believed, We gave their reward, but many of them are deviators.
Buddhism may have been a true religion that was ruined after the development of a priesthood. It has certainly degenerated much more than Judaism or Christianity. However much these two religions have been distorted over the course of time, still they are devoted to God's revelations and found their faiths upon Him. Even if the essence of Buddhism actually comes from a true source, it has completely departed from that essence and become smothered in superstitious ritual, with only a few true moral principles left.
Buddhism resembles the monotheistic faiths of Judaism, Christianity and Islam in another way: It, too, believes in the End Times and in one ultimate savior for humanity-Jews and Christians know him as the Messiah; and for Muslims, he is the Mahdi.
The End Times is the period immediately preceding the Last Day. Both the Qur'an and the sayings of the Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace) contain a number of indications that in the End Times, Islamic morality will spread throughout the whole world. The Qur'an says that Jesus (peace be upon him) did not die, that he was not killed but was raised to the presence of God while he was still alive, and that he will come to earth again. The Prophet Muhammad (may God bless him and grant him peace) also announced the good news that Jesus will be sent to the world again, and in those End Times while he is here, the world will be filled with peace, justice, well-being, and prosperity. The Prophet's sayings reveal that the Mahdi will assist Jesus in his blessed work.
In the Prophet's sayings, the End Times are divided into two distinct periods. In the first, God will be openly denied; the number of people living according to the values of religion will be few; the cost of living and distress from material want will be great. There will be famines. People will suffer from natural disasters; injustice will be widespread, wars and conflicts will increase, and pitilessness and cruelty will dominate over love, mercy and compassion. Afterwards, humanity will be saved from the godless and irreligious philosophies that are the real source of all their anguish and turn to the values of religion. As a result, conflict, injustice and cruelty will come to an end. Instead of anxiety and repression, humanity will live in comfort, peace, security and prosperity. The whole world will be filled with plenty and abundance.
In Islam, as well as in Judaism and Christianity, there is the belief in the Mahdi, the Messiah, and the End Times. The Bible-made up of the Old Testament (the Torah and other Jewish writings) and the New Testament (the four gospels and other books and letters)-offers several descriptions of the end times. The gospels especially deal with the coming of Jesus (peace be upon him) and show important parallels with what is written in the Qur'an and in the sayings of the Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace).
Although the name of Jesus does not occur in the Old Testament, of course, the Hebrew Bible does foretell a Messiah as a savior from the lineage of David (peace be upon him). And in some places in the Old Testament there are mentions of what will happen at the Time of the End. The Messiah, whose coming is promised and about whose deeds are spoken of in the Old Testament, is-as in the Qur'an-Jesus. Apart from the title "Messiah," this person is called by other descriptions such as "king," "lord" and "most holy."15
The Old Testament speaks of the Messiah's coming, and much is said about the kingdom he will found on earth. Some of the essential things said about him are that he will gather the nations under his rule, that he is of the lineage of David (peace be upon him) and that he resembles his ancestor, David (who in his own time, established his dominion everywhere he went). Some of these relevant passages from the Old Testament are as follows:
The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken in pieces; From heaven He will thunder against them. The Lord will judge the ends of the earth. He will give strength to His king, and exalt the horn of His anointed. (1 Samuel 2: 10)
And in the days of these kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. (Daniel 2: 44)
Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the Gentiles. He will not cry out, nor raise his voice, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed he will not break, and smoking flax he will not quench; he will bring forth justice for truth. He will not fail nor be discouraged, till he has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands shall wait for his law . . . I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand; I will keep you and give you as a covenant to the people, as a light to the Gentiles, to open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house. (Isaiah 42: 1-7)
But with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall slay the wicked. Righteousness shall be the belt of his loins . . . (Isaiah 11: 4-5)
The New Testament gives much information about the Second Coming of Jesus to the world:
I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also. (John 14: 2-3)
This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw him go into heaven. (Acts 1: 11)
Therefore if they say to you, "Look, he is in the desert!' do not go out; or "Look, He is in the inner rooms!" do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. (Matthew 24: 26-27)
Iurge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus. . . that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ's appearing, which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, The King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen. (1 Timothy 6: 13-16)
The kingdom that will come into being with the second coming of Jesus will be a period of justice, wealth and high morality:
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. (Matthew 5: 5)
In this manner, therefore, pray . . . "Your kingdom come . . . ." (Matthew 6: 9-10)
There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out. They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and sit down in the kingdom of God. And indeed there are last who will be first, and there are first who will be last. (Luke 13: 28-30)
As we mentioned earlier, Buddhism also foretells and expects a savior-messiah. Buddha said that 1000 years after him, the Metteya (or Maitreya) would come and bring divine mercy to the whole universe; and with his coming, religion would reach its completion. The following are some examples of this expectation from Buddhist writings from two different countries. First Burma:
Buddha said: "Our cycle is a happy one, three leaders have already lived . . . The Buddha supreme am I, but after me, Maitriya comes. While still this happy cycle lasts, before its tale of years shall lapse. This Buddha, called Metteya, shall be supreme chief of all Men."16
Now, from Sri Lanka:
I am not the first Buddha [awakened one] who has come upon the Earth, nor will I be the last. In due time another Buddha will rise in the world, a Holy One, a supreme enlightened one, endowed with auspicious wisdom embracing the Universe, an incomparable leader of men. . . He will reveal to you the same eternal truths, which I have taught you. He will establish his Law [religion] . . . He will proclaim a righteous life wholly perfect and pure, such as I now proclaim. His disciples will number many thousands, while mine number many hundreds. He will be known as Maitreya.17
Muhammad(pbuh)In Buddhist Scriptures
Ananda asked, 'Who shall teach us when thou art gone?'
Buddha replied, 'I am not the first Buddha that came upon the earth, nor shall I be the last. In time another Budda will arise in the world, a holy one, a supremely enlightened one, endowed with wisdom in conduct, auspicious, an incomparable leader of men, a master of angels and mortals. He will reveal to you the SAME eternal truths I have taught upon you. His disciples will number many thousands while mine number many hundreds'
Ananda asked, 'And how will we come to know him?'
Buddha answered, 'He will be known as MAITREYA'
[Gospel of Buddha, Carusp 217]
NB At the time of Prophet Muhammad's death there were over 110,000 companions.
---
Budda said: 'Our cycle is a happy one, three leaders have already lived... The Budda supreme am I, but after me, MAITRIYA comes. While still this happy cucle lasts, before its tale of years shall lapse. This Buddha, called METTEYA, shall be supreme chief of all Men' [Buddhism in translation, Warren, p 481]
When Allah states in the Quran that to each nation He sent an Apostle [Surah Yunus (10): 47] this much is true. The question is, how do we recognise who is and who isnt an Apostle of God?
Was Prophet Muhammad a 'buddha'?
What is a Buddha in the wider sense, is the word synonymous with the term Apostle/Messenger of God?
A Buddha is ONLY a preacher
************************
'You yourself must make an effort, The Buddhas are only preachers'
[The Dhammapada, Vol X p 67]
Allah states:
'...The Apostles duty is only to preach the message'
[Surah al Nur (24): 54]
Therefore, a Buddha is one who invites and teaches people to truth.
A Buddha is a human being
*********************
'It is only a human being that can be a Buddha, a diety cannot' [Warren, p 15]
Allah also states that Muhammad is a human being: 'Say, I am but a man like yourselves...' [Surah al Kahf (18): 110]
Therefore, a Buddha is a human being.
A Buddha is a male
***************
Of human beings it is only the male sex that can be Buddhas:
'They are never of the female sex Nor as hermaphrodites appear As eunuch are they never classed Those destined for Buddaship' [Warren, p 34]
Allah states in the Quran that the Apostles/Messengers are male: 'And before thee also the apostles We sent were but men to whom We granted inspiration...' [Surah an Nahl (16): 43]
Therefore a Buddha is a male. Note, that ALL Messengers of Allah i.e. those to whom were revealed texts, were men. However, Ibn Hazm [Volume V, pp 17-19 al-Fisal fi al-Milal wa-al-Ahwa'i wa-al-Nihal] wrote a text arguing that a Prophet CAN be a woman. The difference between a Prophet and a Messenger is that a Prophet has guidance from God e.g. Mary, the Mother of Jesus who we are told was informed that she would have a child without a man touching her. However as Mary, mother of Jesus, did NOT recieve a revelation, she would not be classified as a Messenger - and Allah knows best.
A Buddha is a gifted being
********************
'These are the five donations great,
The gift of treasure
Gift of child
The gift of wife,of royal rule
And last, the gift of life and limb'
[Warren, p 79]
Prophet Muhammad when he married Khadija, became amongst the wealthiest in the cityof Mecca; had children; was married; ruled the Muslims; and was a human being.
Salvation according to Budda
***********************
'You yourself must make an effort, The Buddhas are only preachers, The thoughtful who enter the way are freed from the bondage ofMars' [The Dhammapada, Vol X p 67]
The last words of Budda were:
'Work out your salvation with diligence' [Carus, p 211]
Similarly, as Islam teaches, a person attains salvation by asking Allah to forgive them. For example:
'Every man's fate will be on his own neck...'
[Surah al Israa (17): 13]
'Every soul will be held in pledge for it's deeds'
[Surah al Mudaththir (74): 38]
'Anyone who has done an atom's weight of good shall see it, and anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it'
[Surah al Zalzalah (99): 7-8]
Could it therefore be shown that the term Buddha refers to one who taught Islam, and it was Budda who was a Messenger/Apostle of Allah as well?
In essence the teachings of 'Buddhism' are similar to the teachings of 'Islam'; that is to believe in One God without partner. To forgive, to show kindness, and to praise the Creator.
He will be known as MAITREYA
**************************
The person who Buddha Gautama prophesised bears different names in different languages.
In Pali, his name is METTEYA.
In Sanskirt, MAITREYA.
In Burmese, AREMIDEIA.
In Chinese, MEITALIYE.
In Tibetan, BYAMSPA.
In Japanese, MIROKU.
The English equivalent of METTEYA:
A. 'Teacher of love' - Max Muller
B. 'He whose name is kindness' - Carus
C. 'Buddha of kindness' - Rhys Davids
D. 'Friendliness' - Fausboll
E. 'Loving and compassionate' - Williams
F. 'Merficul' - Beal
G. 'Compassionate' - Getty
H. 'Kind, sympathy, active interest in others' - Steade
RAHMAT is the Arabic equivalent of the word MAITREYA.
The Arabic-English lexicon by Lane gives the follow defenition of Rahmat:
'Mercy, pity, compassion, tenderness ofheart, inclination requiring the exercise of favour, and beneficence; pardon and forgiveness'
When we go through works written by men of various nations on Islam, we observe one curious thing. The word 'Mohammed' is spelled in a number of ways, as 'Mahamet' or 'Mahomet' or 'Mehemet' or 'Mahemmet' ...
A. 'Mahamet' or 'Mahomet': is comprised of MAHA and METTA. The word MAHA in Pali and Sanskrit means 'Great, illustrious'. Therefore the word 'Mahamet' or 'Mahomet' means 'a great mercy'. The Quran refers to Muhammad as 'a great mercy'.
B. 'Mohamet' is compposed of MOH and METTA. MOH in Sanskrit means, 'affection or sympathy'; therefore the entire word means, 'of an affectionate or of sympathetic mercy'.
C. 'Mehemet' is composed of MEH and METTA. MEH means rain, therefore the entire word means, 'a man who rains mercy in general'.
D. 'Mahemmet' is composed of MAHEMA which in Sanskrit means mercy, therefore the entire word means, 'a great mercy'
Prophet Muhammad is described as a Mercy to Mankind; and therefore fits the defenition of the word MAITREYA.
The voice of MAITREYA
********************
Asanga answered, '... The exquisite voice of the MAITREYA is soft and pure and refined; those who hear it can never tire, those who listen are never satiated'.
[Si-Yu-Ki, Vol I p 229]
Bara (ra) relates: 'I heard the Apostle of Allah reciting the chapter, The Fig and Olive, during the night prayer, and I neversaw a man more sweet-voiced than he'
[Sahih of Bukhari Vol I p 107]
Zemad (ra) said: 'The Prophet has reached the bottom of the ocean of eloquence'
[Sahih of Muslim, Vol 7 p 874]
And Allah commanded Prophet Muhammad: 'Invite men to the way of the Lord with wisdom and BEAUTIFUL preaching...'
[Surah an Nahl (16): 125]
And Allah commands: '...And recite the Quran in measured rhythmic tones'
[Surah al Muzammil (73): 4]
From the evidence above, and that which I have read elsehwere, I conclude the following:
1. The term Budda possibly refers to an Apostle of God
2. That the teachings of 'Buddha Gautama' from which the philosophy of Buddhism are originated were possibly in fact true, i.e. that he preached belief in 1 God
3. That Gautama could have possibly been an Apostle of Allah
Therefore, Buddha was possibly an Apostle of God, and Prophet Muhammad was the last Apostle of God.

Who is Allah - is he God?
Some of the biggest misconceptions that many non-Muslims have about Islam have to do with the word "Allah". For various reasons, many people have come to believe that Muslims worship a different God than Christians and Jews. Sikhs and Hindu's for that matter only have belief in one God, and this God is not different in the case of all these religions - there is only One God. This is totally false, since "Allah" is simply the Arabic word for "God" - and there is only One God. Let there be no doubt - Muslims worship the God of Noah, Abraham, Moses, David and Jesus - peace be upon them all. However, it is certainly true that Jews, Christians and Muslims all have different concepts of Almighty God. For example, Muslims - like Jews - reject the Christian beliefs of the Trinity and the Divine Incarnation. This, however, doesn't mean that each of these three religions worships a different God - because, as we have already said, there is only One True God. Judaism, Christianity and Islam all claim to be "Abrahamic Faiths", and all of them are also classified as "monotheistic". However, Islam teaches that other religions have, in one way or another, distorted and nullified a pure and proper belief in Almighty God by neglecting His true teachings and mixing them with man-made ideas.
First of all, it is important to note that "Allah" is the same word that Arabic-speaking Christians and Jews use for God. If you pick up an Arabic Bible, you will see the word "Allah" being used where "God" is used in English. This is because "Allah" is the only word in the Arabic language equivalent to the English word "God" with a capital "G". Additionally, the word "Allah" cannot be made plural or given gender (i.e. masculine or feminine), which goes hand-in-hand with the Islamic concept of God. Because of this, and also because the Qur'an, which is the holy scripture of Muslims, was revealed in the Arabic language, some Muslims use the word "Allah" for "God", even when they are speaking other languages. This is not unique to the word "Allah", since many Muslims tend to use Arabic words when discussing Islamic issues, regardless of the language which they speak. This is because the universal teachings of Islam - even though they have been translated in every major language - have been preserved in the Arabic language.
It is interesting to note that the Aramaic word "El", which is the word for God in the language that Jesus spoke, is certainly more similar in sound to the word "Allah" than the English word "God". This also holds true for the various Hebrew words for God, which are "El" and "Elah", and the plural form "Elohim". The reason for these similarities is that Aramaic, Hebrew and Arabic are all Semitic languages with common origins. It should also be noted that in translating the Bible into English, the Hebrew word "El" is translated variously as "God", "god" and "angel"! This imprecise language allows different translators, based on their preconceived notions, to translate the word to fit their own views. The Arabic word "Allah" presents no such difficulty or ambiguity, since it is only used for Almighty God alone. Additionally, in English, the only difference between "god", meaning a false god, and "God", meaning the One True God, is the capital "G".
In the Arabic alphabet, since it does not have capital letters, the word for God (i.e. Allah) is formed by adding the equivalent to the English word "the" (Al-) to the Arabic word for "god/God" (ilah). So the Arabic word "Allah" literally it means "The God" - the "Al-" in Arabic basically serving the same function as the capital "G" in English. Due to the above mentioned facts, a more accurate translation of the word "Allah" into English might be "The One -and-Only God" or "The One True God".
More importantly, it should also be noted that the Arabic word "Allah" contains a deep religious message due to its root meaning and origin. This is because it stems from the Arabic verb ta'allaha (or alaha), which means "to be worshipped". Thus in Arabic, the word "Allah" means "The One who deserves all worship". This, in a nutshell, is the Pure Monotheistic message of Islam. You see, according to Islam, "monotheism" is much more than simply believing in the existence of "only One God" - as seemingly opposed to two, three or more. If one understands the root meaning of the word "Allah", this point should become clear.
One should understand that Islam's criticism of the other religions that claim to be "monotheistic" is not because they are "polytheistic" in the classic sense, but because they direct various forms of worship to other than Almighty God. We will discuss the meaning of worship in Islam below, however, before moving on it should be noted that many non-Muslims are unaware of the distinction between simply believing in the existence of only One God and reserving all worship for Him alone. Many Christians are painfully unaware of this point, and thus you often find them asking how Muslims can accuse the followers of Jesus, peace be upon him, of being "polytheists" when they were all "monotheistic Jews".
First of all, it should be clarified that the word "polytheist" doesn't really sound right in this context, since to many it implies simply believing in the existence of more than one God. So in an Islamic context, "associators", "man-worshippers" or "creature worshippers" might be more accurate and appropriate terms - especially since Christians believe Jesus to be both "100% God and 100% man", while still paying lip-service to God's "Oneness". However, as we're previously touched upon, what is really at the root of this problem is the fact that Christians - as well as the members of other religions - don't really know what "monotheism" means - especially in the Islamic sense. All of the books, articles and papers that I've read which were written by Christians invariably limit "monotheism" to believing in the existence of "One Sovereign and Creator God". Islam, however, teaches much more than this.

Which is the True Religion of God
Each person is born in a circumstance which is not of his own choosing. The religion of his family or the ideology of the state is thrust upon him from the very beginning of his existence in this world. By the time he reaches his teens, he is usually fully brain-washed into believing that the beliefs of his particular society are the correct beliefs that everyone should have. However, when some people mature and are exposed to other belief-systems, they begin to question the validity of their own beliefs. The seekers of truth often reach a point of confusion upon realizing that each and every religion, sect, ideology and philosophy claims to be the one and only correct way for man. Indeed they all encourage people to good. So, which one is right? They cannot all be right since each claims all others to be wrong. Then how does the seeker of truth choose the right way?
God gave us all minds and intellects to enable us to make this crucial decision. It is the most important decision in the life of a human being. Upon it depends his future. Consequently, each and every one of us must examine dispassionately the evidence presented and choose what appears to be right until further evidence arises.
Like every other religion or philosophy, Islam also claims to be the one and only true way to God. In this respect it is no different from other systems. This booklet intends to provide some evidence for the validity of that claim. However, it must always be kept in mind that one can only determine the true path by putting aside emotions and prejudices, which often blind us to reality. Then, and only then, will we be able to use our God-given intelligence and make a rational and correct decision.
There are several arguments which may be advanced to support Islam's claim to be the true religion of God. The following are only three of the most obvious. The first argument is based on the Divine origin of the names of the religion and the comprehensiveness of its meaning. The second deals with the unique and uncomplicated teachings concerning the relationship between God, man, and creation. The third argument derives from the fact that Islam is universally attainable by all men at all times. These are the three basic components of what logic and reason dictate necessary for a religion to be considered the true religion of God. The following pages will develop these concepts in some detail.

Conclusion
The preceding presentation has demonstrated that the name of the religion of Islam expresses Islam's most central principle, submission to God, and that the name "Islam" was chosen not by man, but by God, according to the holy scriptures of Islam. It has also been shown that Islam alone teaches the uniqueness of God and His attributes and enjoins the worship of God alone without intermediaries. Finally, due to the divinely instilled inclination of man to worship God and the signs revealed by God throughout the ages to each individual, Islam may be achieved by all men at all times.
In short, the significance of the name Islam (submission to God), is Islam's fundamental acknowledgement of the uniqueness of God and Islam's accessibility to all mankind at all times convincingly support Islam's claim that from the beginning of time in whatever language it was expressed, Islam alone has been and will be the true religion of God.
In conclusion we ask Allah, the Exalted, to keep us on the right path to which He has guided us, and to bestow on us His blessings and mercy, for He is indeed the Most-Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be on Prophet Muhammad and all the prophets of God and their righteous followers.

ALL RELIGIONS TEACH MEN TO BE RIGHTEOUS, THEN WHY FOLLOW ONLY ISLAM?

According to Buddhist scriptures for every fully enlightened Buddha there is a terrestrial Bo-tree or Bodhi-tree:-
"I give a list of 7 Buddhas and their trees:- Vipasi, Patala (Bignonia); Sikki, Pundrika (Lotus) ; Visvabhu, Sala (Shoria robusta); Karakchch. 'handa, Saresha (Accaciasirisa); Kanakamuni, Udambra; Kasyapa, Nyagrodha (Banian tree); Sakyamuni, Asvatha (Ficus religiosa.)" (The Popular Life of Buddha by Lillie. p. 232.)
The Bo-tree for the Buddha Maitreya is "The tree of Dragon flower." (I-tsing by Takakusu. p. 213.)
According to Sanskrit English Dictionary by L. R. Vaidya the dragon flower is "The Champak tree".
According to Watters this tree is "Champac." (Vol. II. p. 52.)
I-tsing calls the Bo-tree of the Buddha Maitreya "Naga tree." (Takakusu. p. 213. foot note.)
According to Sanskrit English Dictionary by L. R. Vaidya, the Naga. Tree is "Naga kesser tree"
According to some of the modern Buddhist scholars, the Bo-tree of the Buddha Maitreya is the "Iron-wood tree." (M. B. J: 1929. p. 280.)
Iron-wood tree is the name "applied to a wide variety of trees." (Webster) "Any tree with unusually hard or heavy wood," (Chamber's. Ency.) can be called the Ironwood tree. Thus we cannot tell with certainly the name of the Bodhi tree of the Buddha Maitreya.
The name of the Bodhi tree of Mohammed at Hodebeyya also cannot be stated with certainty
(1) Sale, on the authority of several Arabic works considers it, "an Egyptian thorn", or "a kind of lote tree." (P. 494. Foot note.)
(2) According to Muslim it is "Samorah," or "Shajar-Rizwan."
(3) According to Munjid it is "Irak."
.................................
The Koran gives this tree the name, "Shajar." (XLVIII)
According to Arabic 'English Lexicon by Lane the word, Shajar, stands for "any tree with a hard stem;" hence we can say that the tree at Hodebeyya was a species of Iron-wood tree.
The view of Wahid-ul-zaman Khan, the translator of Muslim, about this tree is:-
"The tree is now no more, as it was cut down by Omar, on learning that people used to gather round about it." (M. Vol. V. pp. 2000-1.)
In my opinion Mr. Wahid-ul-zaman is wrong in his opinion. The reason is easy to deduce from the following traditions:-
(1) "Saeed-bin-Mosaib relates:-My father was one of those who took the oath of allegiance to the apostle of God under the tree; he said, "When we came to pilgrimage next year, we could not identify the place of the tree; if you can, you know more (than I do)." (M. Vol. V. pp. 2000-2)
(2) "Saeed-bin-Mosaib relates from his father next year the companions (of the prophet) forgot (the tree, and could not identify it.)' " (Ibid. p.2002.)
(3) "Saeed-bin-Mosaib relates:-I had seen the tree (of allegiance); when I came again there I could not identify it." (Ibid. p. 2002)
Shankaracharya had no Bo-tree. There is no mention of the Bo-tree of Jesus in the Gospels. Hence neither Jesus nor Shankaracharya can be the Buddha Maitreya. As Mohammed had a tree which for some reasons given here and elsewhere, we call the Bo-tree, hence he is the Buddha Maitreya.

It is up to you. I don't want to lie to you. I just didn't receive my laptop yet. This is not my laptop I don't like to use others laptops. I gave answers to your previous questions, but now you have to wait. This is like when I tell you 1+1 is equal to 2, you try to tell it is equal to 11. First of all you need to have knowledge about maths to solve a mathematical problem. You don't accepts the things which I already proved, about rebirth, power of mind, how it creates galaxies, stars and etc, cause and effect, reasons of being rich, bad, ugly, poor and more disabilities. I can explain everything one by one and I can answer all your questions, but I don't think you want to learn or understand more than what you know. It is like watering a glass of water which is already filled. However I'm still learning and I like people to challenge to Buddhism then I can learn more about Buddhism and Other religions, which help me to understand more about our lives. I don't want to prove anything with lies, I just want to find best and perfect answers which I can find only in Buddhism. Keep in touch, I'll contact you soon..

1. now explain according karma "y islam is the fastest growing religion?"
2. explain evolution according to karma?
3. explain karma according to evolution?

Islam is a highly organized religion and a main purpose of it is to grow their numbers. Buddhist Monks spread Buddhism without using money but knowledge. Buddhism is the fastest growing religion in United States, Australia and Buddhism is being recognized as the fastest growing religion in Western societies both in terms of new converts and more so in terms of friends of Buddhism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claims_to_be_the_fastest-growing_religion). Poor people in converted to Islam, Christianity on helplessness and money, but rich and intelligent people are converting on the teachings of Buddhism.

I guess you find understand the causes (actions/Karma), which made Islam the fastest growing religion. But nothing is permanent, Now people are being educated and discovering the truths of this universe and humans. Buddha told that Nirvana is not easy to achieve and very few people of this world do their best to achieve it, but he told us meditate at least a few minutes to have a good rebirth to use it to develop our mind to be enlightened.

2) / 3) : Evolution is equal to cause (action) and effect (reaction) which we call Karma. Evolution totally agree with Karma. Evolution is proof of Karma, as the nature is developing and creating powerful living beings as same as our mind is developing. Evolution explains about Karma, Karma explains about Evolution, therefor there is nothing to explain more about it.

What do you think about it. Isn't it a proof. or I'll try to send more. I don't tell you to doubt about it, but I if you don't search about it yourself you will not find more proofs of it which might help you to take a straight decision.
Learn about Near death experience: Dr. Ian Stevenson, at the University of Virginia, has uncovered several types of evidence relating to reincarnation (Stevenson, 1974). In the cases he examined, he found children who seemed able to recall details of their past lives, and was able to verify their stories firsthand. (http://www.shaktitechnology.com/rebirth.htm)
There are animal realms, human realms, Pretha (Ghost) realm, hells, heavens and Brahma worlds.
There is something calls 'Vingnana Dhatu' (According to Buddhism Vinghana is a very small materiel similar to an atom which always try to be attached to a body) which is going from one place to another on death according to Karma (Actions /cause and effect).
There are many Vinghana Dahtu (which contains the mind) around the world changing their places. Previous Karma and the last Karma (last thought when die) takes them to a most suitable place to have a rebirth. It can happen on their wish and without their wish, but they can't control it completely.
Usually the Vingnana Dathu can create a spiritual body until it meets a suitable body on their Karma.
When the rebirth is proven, there is nothing to argue about the process of it.
I prefer if you can give me a direct answer : yes or no
1) don't you still believe on rebirth?
2) If 'no', do you want more evidence? or what do you really want?

More about Karma and Evolution for your consideration:
Karma and the Life Review (http://www.shaktitechnology.com/rebirth.htm)
The idea of karma plays an important role in all the traditional teachings concerning rebirth. In order to adopt karma as a legitimate postulate in building a theory of NDEs (Near-Death Experiences) we need to pare it down to its simplest possible form. The traditional teachings on karma are filled with implications that can never be either proven or falsified, and this puts them outside the bounds of science. Nevertheless, one meaningful statement may be derived from these traditions: Individual behaviors in one life can have an impact on following lives. The theory of 'natural selection' (*natural selection is a special term of Evolution) requires that the postulated death and rebirth process should have increased our chances for survival in some way. If so, then it seems reasonable to conclude that if behaviors in one life can influence those of another, that influence must tend to increase the adaptivity of our behavior. Natural selection has no foresight. Adaptations are permanent traits that preserve past expediencies. If natural selection has provided us with the capacity to take rebirth, it will have done so to bring us away from extinction, rather than towards nirvana. Evolutionary theory dictates that the potential for enlightenment is a by-product (or 'epiphenomena') of human consciousness rather than its purpose. Natural selection has no long-term purposes. Adaptations happen, as it were, in the here-and-now. Evolution is not a conscious entity, so it doesn't know what will happen later. It doesn't know what to prepare for, so it can't make any preparations. Writing is one of the best examples of an adaptation like this. Our brains are wired to use language, and that ability was the result of a stringent selection. later on, our enhanced motor control, developed for other things, was combined with our newfound language skills, and the eventual result was that we learned to write. To say that rebirth is a mechanism to produce enlightened people is like saying that language is a mechanism for producing writing, as though language had no purpose before it was invented.
Karma, if it is real, must function to somehow increase the adaptivity of human behavior. Because we are a social species, it makes sense to look at how it might do so with respect to our cultural environments. Especially so because the traditions concerning karma hold that it applies to both negative and positive behavior, and the evaluation of behavior is both culture-bound and culture-specific. Our rule of karma says: karma is a mechanism that labels states of consciousness that facilitate adaptive behavior in a given cultural environment in one life for repetition in following lives, and states that facilitate counteradaptive behavior are labeled for avoidance.

A small gene (DNA) has lots of information about our body, health and our lifestyle, which helps us postulate about the Vinghana Dadu (a very small object which is not scientifically unidentified yet) which can keep our memory saved and which reacts on cause and effect. However we can change the state of it. According to the Buddhism the Nirvana is an unchanging state.
According to Buddhism living beings are built with 6 elements.
1) Patavi Dathu (Solids)
2) Apo Dathu (Liquids)
3) Thejo Dathu (Heat)
4) Vayo Dathu (Gases)

·

I guess you didn't watch the video completely. 2-3 years old children talks about their past life. Researches could prove the details given by the children.
DNA keep records about the current creation or the details of the final product. As an example, if we create a machine to change clay to create a statue, then it will create a statue when we put some clay into the machine, but it can create same type of a statue if we put a previously created statue into the machine. And we can't tell about the previous status of the current statue. We can't find the previous form of the current statue. Current statue can form from natural clay, or it can form from an previous statue.
DNA just keep some data of a person, but DNA itself can't create a living being, and there is a process of some components around it which use DNA to create a living being and that mechanism was developed by the evolution. DNA is like the materiel which contains the data of a person which we put into the process of creating a living being.
I didn't tell you that there isn't mental disorders. I know that there are many psychological influences which can change the mind to behave like someone else. And there are people with multiple personality disorder. I'm not talking about those cases. Those are just diseases of the mind.
But I'm talking about 2-3 old children who tells about their past lives, and it was proven by the researchers and the birth marks of the child which proves the accident of the previous life which caused the death.
And I'm talking about the NDEs (Near Death Experiences) which people could saw their own operations which done by doctors, and they could tell all about the incident after they waked up. And they could see the people who died previously.
And I'm talking about the Hypnosis which we can use to remind and experience the death and other moments of the previous life.
Cigarette cause cancer, which was proven on the thousands of evidence of the people around the world. As same as there are thousands of evidence which proves reincarnation.
I guess you don't want to believe it. I don't want you to believe it. But search more about it to try your best to prove it wrong.
I have lots of information about the evidence of rebirth and I have no doubts about it. I know that t is difficult to accept some uncomfortable realities.
However I expect a direct answer from you, but I don't understand a reason which you don't like to accept the proven evidence of the american researchers.

7. Learn about Near death experience. (could u send long death experience?)
8. If 'no', do you want more evidence? or what do you really want? ((( you said about human-human rebirth, I want animal-human rebirths with lot of evidences(videos) according to your DNA explanations)))
9. Evolution is the great lie. read below
It is important to first define what is meant by the word "evolution." There are actually two major theories of biological evolution:
Microevolution - Unequivocally proven through numerous scientific studies. Includes concepts such as mutation, recombination, natural selection, etc.
Macroevolution - Extrapolation of microevolution to account for all changes in body designs, speciation, appearance of new phyla, etc.

Therefore, I accept microevolution as a scientifically reliable theory, which describes the intelligent design with which organisms were endowed by their Designer. However, in contrast to the reliability of microevolutionary theory, macroevolution is not supported by the record of nature or current scientific research. Even evolutionists admit these major problems in the scientific journals (although you are unlikely to find these admissions in textbooks or popular books on evolution):

"Major transitions in evolution - such as the origin of life, the emergence of eukaryotic cells, and the origin of the human capacity for language, to name but a few - could not be farther from an equilibrium. Also, they cannot be described satisfactorily by established models of microevolution."1

Dr. Fagerstrom, et al.

There are two major models of macroevolution (In the remainder of this article, I will refer to macroevolution simply as evolution, since this is the common usage). They are:
Gradualism - Changes in the morphology of species are the result of gradual changes in the genomes of species. The apparent lack of gradualism in the fossil record is due to an incompleteness of the fossil record.
Punctuated Equilibrium - Changes in morphology are due to species sorting following geographic isolation and major reductions in population numbers. The punctuated appearance of the fossil record is real.

Refutation of Gradualism

The major problems with gradualism is that it is not reflected in the fossil record. By far, the fossil record is extremely discontinuous. There are a few examples of gradualism, but they are the exception. Even the most famous example of gradualism (the horse) suffers from a lack of intermediates for most species. Here is an admission by an evolutionist:

"Eldredge and Gould not only showed that paleontologists had been out-of-step with biologists for decades, but also that they had unconsciously trying to force the fossil record into the gradualistic mode. The few supposed examples of gradual evolution were featured in the journals and textbooks, but paleontologists had long been mum about their 'dirty little trade secret:' most species appear suddenly in the fossil record and show no appreciable change for millions of years until their extinction."2

Dr. Donald Prothero

The evidence against gradualism is extensive, but not readily admitted to in the popular press or textbooks. Although the fossil record for a given location on land may be discontinuous, the fossil record for organisms deposited in the ocean or large bodies of water is continuous. Studies by Stanley (3), Cheetham (4) and Stanley and Yang (5) examined all the available lineages of their respective groups (bryozoans and bivalves) through long intervals of time, using multivariate analysis of multiple character states. Both concluded that most of their species were static through millions of years, followed by the sudden appearance of new species. Williamson (6) examined the fossil record of mollusks in Lake Turkana, Kenya, and showed that there were multiple examples of rapid speciation and prolonged stasis, but no gradualism. Barnosky (7) examined a large number of different lineages of mammals, from mammoths to shrews and rodents that lived during the last two million years of the Ice Ages and found a few examples of gradualism, but many more which showed stasis and punctuation. Prothero examined all the mammals with a reasonably complete record from the Eocene-Oligocene (about 30-35 million years ago) beds of the Big Badlands of South Dakota and related areas in Wyoming and Nebraska (8). This study not only sampled every available lineage without bias, but also had much better time control from magnetic stratigraphy and wider geographic coverage than previous studies. With only one exception all of the Badlands mammals were static through millions of years, or speciated abruptly (if they changed at all). Stasis and sudden appearance of new species is the norm rather than the exception, as evidenced by the fossil record.

Evolutionists have used the excuse that the fossil record is not complete enough to be an accurate representation of the history of life on the Earth. A recent book, The Adequacy of the Fossil Record (9), examined the fossil record in terms of its completeness, bias (over and under representation of certain species and groups of organisms), and stratigraphic range (its completeness for a species over the entire history of its existence). Their conclusions were that the fossil record is surprisingly complete, with about 10% of all species that have ever lived being represented. There are some biases and stratigraphic incompleteness in the fossil record, but these problems can be estimated mathematically from the available data. There are many examples of stratigraphic gaps in the fossil record, with these gaps being the rule rather than the exception. In the past, it has been assumed that the gaps represent incompleteness of the fossil record. The authors suggest the "heretical" view that stratigraphic data should be used to test the phylogenetic relationships between species rather than assume that the relationships exist and that the fossil record is incomplete.

The punctuated fossil record applies not only to individual species, but to entire periods of time, where entire communities of species remain unchanged for millions of years. These periods of "coordinated stasis" can be followed by periods when "upwards of 60% of species seem to be replaced over a period of a few hundred thousand years"(10). During the first 16 million years of the Tertiary period, 18 orders of mammals appeared. Many scientist had claimed that gaps in the fossil record could account for the apparent sudden appearance of mammals. However, Dr. David Archibald (San Diego State University), looked at the numbers of fossil site spanning the period of 5 million years before and after the Cretaceous-Tertiary boundary. Dr. Archibald found that sampling was equal for periods before and after the boundary, although only 11 genera were found in the 5 million years before the beginning of the Tertiary compared to 139 genera in the 5 million years following (11). The idea that the lack of transitional forms is due to gaps in the fossil record is not reasonable given the tremendous number of fossils that have been discovered in recent studies. Therefore, the old "evolution of the gaps" theory is not supported by the extensive fossil record that now exists. Gradualism, although it seems a more logical mode of evolution, is not supported by the fossil record.

There are many who believe in the theory of evolution, who don't realize that you need to make a choice in what theory of evolution you are going to accept as being true. You can't believe in both gradualism and punctuated equilibrium simultaneously, since they are contradictory. Some of the "spokesmen" for evolution, such as Richard Dawkins, would like to redefine punctuated equilibrium into some sort of modified gradualism. However, the following statement is what Gould and Eldredge say about their theory:

"Punctuated equilibrium is a theory that attributes this pattern of spurt and stasis neither 1. to imperfections of the fossil record in a truly gradualistic world, nor 2. to such theories of occasional anagenetic rapidity as Simpson's important hypothesis of quantum evolution, but to speciation as a process of branching, characteristically occurring at geologically instantaneous rates - with trends then explained not as anagenetic accumulation, but as differential success by species sorting."12

Conclusion

As can be seen above, the logical predictions of evolutionary theories do not match the actual data. Either 1) evolution is a very random process that does not follow the usual rules of biology and chemistry or 2) life was not created through evolutionary mechanisms.

Buddhism to be the fastest growing spiritual tradition/religion in Australia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claims_to_be_the_fastest-growing_religion)" Western people are more open to the knowledge and they are discovering truths of this nature, that is why they have started to learn more about Buddhism. People who don't have to learn about a religion and those who don't have enough resources to find the truth will convert to any religion if we introduce it to them with a small help, as it happened with Hindu Tamils in Sri Lanka, poor people converted to Christianity while there was a war in Sri Lanka.

I don't think it is necessary to give more information about evolution to prove it. It is already proven by the scientists. Evolution is proves the cause and effect which created humans which we call Karma.

8.) I could smile on your question. If human has a rebirth why you say that animal can't. Can you give me a single emotional deference between human and animals. If you watch the videos which I sent you will find Muslims who believe in reincarnation. There is a separated Islam religion which accepts rebirth. If you want a small proof about a Human (women) who became a fish after she died then please watch this video carefully (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6M-nXjh_9I) you will find a boy who died and now he is telling about his own past life and about a bad women who became a fish. I suggest you not to ask this type of questions which will make people to smile at you. I think it is enough to prove the rebirth of humans to get an idea about rebirth of animals.

yes. that is y call him the father of evolution.. but he didn't want to publish his view about evolution because his wife was a strong Christian and the people of the time don't like to accept it.. but he had written it on his notes which he didn't publish. your argument is not correct, Darwin is the first researcher, but now scientists have made many researches about this with proves the evolution. Eg: 1.) The tree which has a penis. (trees made animals) 2.) The fish who had legs. (coming from sea) 3.) Apes who are similar to humans. watch it:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2xyrel-2vI I know that many God believers don't like to accept this. It hearts but it is the truth. So don't try to bend the truth to fit the faith, but try to bend the faith to fit the truth.

Answer;
* jizya- The word jizya is derived from the root word that refers to “part”, hence taken from a part of the wealth of the non-Muslim citizens.[citation needed] In fact, the use of the word jizya was not even necessary. Al-Tabari wrote that some members of the Christian community asked the companion “Umar bin al-Khatab if they could refer to the jizya as sadaqah which literally means “charity”, which he approved of.
* Misquoted "Violent Verses"
It is amazing to see how many non-muslims would blindly post the verses from Quran, without even reading from ‘appropriate’ and well-know translations. Needless to say they hardly ever know the context. In this article we will be examining commonly quoted verses on the topic of violence and refuting them. This article is divided in 2 parts:
1) Refuting commonly quoted verses on the topic of violence
2) Providing accurate picture of Islam
1)Refuting commonly quoted verses on the topic of violence
Quran 9:5
Islam-critics only post 9:5:
“Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.” (PICKTHAL Translation, Quran 9:5)
Let’s read the verse in context 9:1-9:5:
Freedom from obligation (is proclaimed) from Allah and His messenger toward those of the idolaters with whom ye made a treaty. Travel freely in the land four months, and know that ye cannot escape Allah and that Allah will confound the disbelievers (in His Guidance). And a proclamation from Allah and His messenger to all men on the day of the Greater Pilgrimage that Allah is free from obligation to the idolaters, and (so is) His messenger. So, if ye repent, it will be better for you; but if ye are averse, then know that ye cannot escape Allah. Give tidings (O Muhammad) of a painful doom to those who disbelieve, Excepting those of the idolaters with whom ye (Muslims) have a treaty, and who have since abated nothing of your right nor have supported anyone against you. (As for these), fulfil their treaty to them till their term. Lo! Allah loveth those who keep their duty (unto Him). Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. (PICKTHAL Translation, Quran 9:1-5)
This verses is always quoted out of context, they never post 9:6 or from 9:1 to 9:6. If we read from start it states that there was a treaty, which the Pagans of Arab broke. Thus Allah gave them 4 months as 9:2 states in order to amend the treaty. Verse 9:4 states that the punishment prescribed in 9:5 is ONLY to those who broke the treaty and NOT to those who abided by the treaty. Therefore the context of 9:5 is of war with the pagan Arabs who broke the treaty yet refused to amend it in 4 months.
Naturally, in war violence is expected. If a war is declared between Country A and Country B, because country B broke the treaty and refused to amend, then if president of country A states “wherever you find soldiers of Country B, you kill them and besiege them”, no one would truly find much wrong in that statement.
Killing in war is nothing peculiar, and there is yet to be a war where soldiers hugged and kissed each other. In additions, Dr. Zakir Naik writes in his book “Replies to the most common questions asked by non-muslims“:
“4. Verse 9:5 quoted to boost morale of Muslims during battle
Similarly in Surah Taubah chapter 9 verse 5 the Qur’an says, “Kill the Mushriqs [pagans] where ever you find them”, during a battle to boost the morale of the Muslim soldiers. What the Qur’an is telling Muslim soldiers is, don’t be afraid during battle; wherever you find the enemies kill them.”
Islam-critics remain shy of posting the next verse, 9:6, as it contains the answer to their deception:
“And if anyone of the idolaters seeketh thy protection (O Muhammad), then protect him so that he may hear the Word of Allah, and afterward convey him to his place of safety. That is because they are a folk who know not. (PICKTHAL Translation, Quran 9:6)
Quran does not only say that you release those who seek protection but it goes even further and states to protect them! In the present international scenario, even a kind, peace-loving army General, during a battle, may let the enemy soldiers go free, if they want peace. But which army General will ever tell his soldiers, that if the enemy soldiers want peace during a battle, don’t just let them go free, but also escort them to a place of security?
Hence even in war Quran promotes peace.
Quran 2:191
Islam-critics usually apply “cut and choose” approach with regards to this verse. They only quote: “And slay them wherever ye catch them…” (2:191). However, let us be brave enough to read the whole passage in context from 2:190-195:
Fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for God loves not transgressors. And kill them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out; for persecution and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, kill them. Such is the reward of those who reject faith. But if they cease, God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in God; but if they cease, let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression. The prohibited month, for the prohibited month, and so for all things prohibited, there is the law of equality. If then any one transgresses the prohibition against you, transgress ye likewise against him. But fear (the punishment of) God, and know that God is with those who restrain themselves. And spend of your substance in the cause of Allah, and make not your own hands contribute to (your) destruction; but do good; for Allah loveth those who do good. (YUSUF ALI, Quran 2:190-195)
The verse clearly states to fight those who fight you, yet do not transgress limits. In so sense therefore does it promote killing of innocent but allows self-defence. It further goes on to state “And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice” and “if they cease, let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression”. Hence, once again when the whole context is examined the verses does not promote killing of innocent in anyway.
Abdul Majid Daryabadi (Finlay, Greece Under the Romans, pp. 367-368) writes on verse 2:190:
“…Violating the truce they themselves had signed. The Muslims, after having borne untold persecution with almost superhuman fortitude for years and years at the hands of the pagans of Makkah, are now for the first time enjoined to take to reprisals. ‘For a full thirteen years the Muslims were subjected to relentless persecution in Mecca. The Prophet and his followers fled for life to Medina, but the enemy would not leave them alone in their refuge. They came to attack them within a year, and the first three battles were fought in the very locality which will whether the Prophet was an assailant or defendant’ (Headley, The Original Church of Jesus Christ and Islam, p. 155). The Makkans had signed a truce and were the first to break it…”
Once again when the whole context is examined the verses does not promote killing of innocents, whether muslims or non-muslims in anyway, but only self-defence.

Part 2: Providing accurate picture of Islam
Quran preaches peace
Unsurprisingly, Islam-critic shy away from posting verses of the Quran, which preaches peace. By bombarding verses out of their context or using dubious translations they seek to give the impression that a book such as Quran leaves no place for peace.
Can muslim and non-muslim co-exist?
One of the common misconception is that Quran teaches that either non-muslim must be forced to become muslim or they must be put to death. They justify themselves by misquoting verses, most of which we have discussed in this article. Now, let’s examine what Quran really says, does Quran allow non-muslim to keep their religion? One whole chapter is dedicated in Quran to this topic called Surah Kafiroon (Chapter THE DISBELIEVERS):
Say: O disbelievers! I worship not that which ye worship; Nor worship ye that which I worship. And I shall not worship that which ye worship. Nor will ye worship that which I worship. Unto you your religion, and unto me my religion. (PICKTHAL Translation, Quran 109:1-6)
The chapter gives crystal-clear evidence of “let and let live”. Quran states “Unto you your religion, and unto me my religion”. Thus no enforcement of religion by sword or otherwise is suggested in Islam. Furthermore, Quran says that there is no compulsion in religion; non-muslims do not have to become muslims against their wishes:
There is no compulsion in religion. The right direction is henceforth distinct from error. And he who rejecteth false deities and believeth in Allah hath grasped a firm handhold which will never break. Allah is Hearer, Knower. (PICKTHAL Translation, Quran 2:256)
Does Quran not say kill (innocent) non-believers?
Murder is a grave sin in Islam, Quran says in 5:32:
For that cause We decreed for the Children of Israel that whosoever killeth a human being for other than manslaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind, and whoso saveth the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind. Our messengers came unto them of old with clear proofs (of Allah’s Sovereignty), but afterwards lo! many of them became prodigals in the earth. (PICKTHAL Translation, Quran 5:32)
As Quran points out killing an innocent being is like killing an entire humanity, which naturally leaves no place for killing innocents. It must be pointed out that Quran states “…whosoever killeth a human being…”, thus referring to a human being and not simply restricted to muslims.
Quran also says:
And slay not the life which Allah hath forbidden save with right. Whoso is slain wrongfully, We have given power unto his heir, but let him not commit excess in slaying. Lo! he will be helped. (PICKTHAL Translation, Quran 17:33)
Quran emphasises not to slay unjustly!
Does Quran not states to hate non-muslims and treat them unjustly?
This is another common misconception, Quran itself describes how ought a muslim to a treat non-muslims:
Allah forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you not for (your) Faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for Allah loveth those who are just. (PICKTHAL Translation, Quran 60:8)
Quran states to deal KINDLY and JUSTLY with those who don’t fight us. It does not only order muslims “not to live and let live” but to even go a step further in living peacefully and deal with them kindly and justly.
Another verse says:
O ye who believe! Be steadfast witnesses for Allah in equity, and let not hatred of any people seduce you that ye deal not justly. Deal justly, that is nearer to your duty. Observe your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is Informed of what ye do. Allah hath promised those who believe and do good works: Theirs will be forgiveness and immense reward. (PICKTHAL Translation, Quran 5:8-9)
Allah emphasises not to let hatred of people prevent them from upholding justice.
Does Quran not say to wage war with non-muslims for any reason possible?
Quran states:
To those against whom war is made, permission is given (to fight), because they are wronged;- and verily, Allah is most powerful for their aid;- (They are) those who have been expelled from their homes in defiance of right,- (for no cause) except that they say, “our Lord is Allah”. Did not Allah check one set of people by means of another, there would surely have been pulled down monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques, in which the name of Allah is commemorated in abundant measure. Allah will certainly aid those who aid his (cause);- for verily Allah is full of Strength, Exalted in Might, (able to enforce His Will). (YUSUF ALI Translation, Quran 22:39-40)
There are reasons for which permission of war is given is mentioned in the verse as those have been wronged and “expelled from their homes in defiance of right” because they are muslim. Quran also calls upon it’s followers not to transgress limits:
Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors. (YUSUF ALI Translation, Quran 2:190)
We Conclude with the following verse of the Quran:
How should ye not fight for the cause of Allah and (for the cause) of the feeble among men and of the women and the children who are crying: Our Lord! Bring us forth from out this town of which the people are oppressors! Oh, give us from thy presence some protecting friend! Oh, give us from Thy presence some defender! [4:75]

3) Poor people converted to Islam, Christianity because they help them. I accept that helping people is a good thing, our government help them more than those people did, but they was doing it giving a Bible to all of them with a religious attitude. It was an emotional cheating. That is a good way of spreading a religion but is not a time to do it.
* Why aren't Islamic Missionaries as active as Christian Missionaries?
Question:
I am a revert to Islam from a very orthodox Christian family. However my hunger to delve deep into Islam and other religions never ceased. The sad part of the story is that I never found anyone able to give at least most of the answers for the questions I ask. But your newsletter seems to be doing a good job. Here are a few questions I wish you could answer.
a. Why aren’t Islamic missionaries active the way Christian missionaries are? Won’t Islam grow much faster and misunderstandings removed if there are good scholars to preach the faith? Why is there such a slack among Muslims?
b. Is it permissible in Islam to sponsor an orphan? Not adoption. Something like sponsoring his education, etc.?
c. Are the views of the so-called ‘terrorists’ like bin Laden really wrong or justifiable? I mean should a Muslim support his activities? Can children and innocent people be killed in wars when the prophet had declared not to do so?
- Joshua Koshy (Qatar)
Answer:
a. It’s true that Muslims today are not as active as Christians in propagating their religion, though the Muslims are expected by Islam to be the best of missionaries. Islam is a religion that should have the maximum number of missionaries because Da'wah (propagation of one’s faith) is obligatory / compulsory in Islam. The Glorious Qur'an says:
“Invite (all) to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious.”
(Al-Qur'an 16:125)
But unfortunately we Muslims are not doing our job. Moreover, there is virulent propaganda about Islam and Muslims by the international media. Today the number of misconceptions about Islam has reached an endemic and epidemic level. It is the duty of Muslims to clarify these misconceptions and to present the pure Islamic teachings, based on the Qur'an and the authentic traditions of the prophet (pbuh).
But irrespective whether the Muslims do the job or not, Allah has promised to make his Deen (Al-Islam) prevail over all other ways of life and all other ‘isms’. Allah says in the Qur'an:
“It is He who has sent His Messenger with Guidance and the Religion of Truth to proclaim it over all religion: and enough is Allah for a Witness.”
(Al-Qur'an 48:28)
A similar message is mentioned in Al-Qur'an 9:33 & 61:9.
It should be borne in mind that Allah is not in need of us Muslims in order to make his Deen prevail. He, however, has given us an opportunity to do a prophet’s job and to earn a prophet’s reward.
The slack among the Muslims is due to their inability to perceive the benefits of reading the Qur'an with understanding. It is through reading the Qur'an with understanding and meaning will we know what our Lord and Creator expects from us in order that we prosper in this life as well as in the Hereafter. Allah says in the Qur'an:
‘Who is better in speech than one who calls (men) to Allah, works righteousness and says, "I am of those who bow in Islam"?’
b. With regards to sponsoring an orphan, Islam encourages such acts of charity as is mentioned in various places in the Qur'an. The Qur'an says:
“Worship none but Allah; treat with kindness your parents and kindred and orphans and those in need; speak fair to the people; be steadfast in prayer; and practice regular charity.” (Al-Qur'an 2:83)
The Prophet (pbuh) is also reported to have said: "I, and the one who looks after an orphan, will be like this in Paradise," showing his middle and index fingers and separating them. (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 7, Hadith No. 224)
Thus the act of sponsoring an orphan is highly recommended in Islam and Allah will surely reward you for that.
c. Regarding your question on terrorists, I say every Muslim should be a ‘terrorist for the anti-social elements of society’. A terrorist is a person who causes terror. The moment a robber sees a policeman he is terrified. A policeman is a terrorist for the robber. Similarly every Muslim should be a terrorist for the anti-social elements of society, be they thieves, pick-pockets, black-marketers or rapists. Whenever an anti-social element sees a Muslim, he should be terrified. It is true that the word ‘terrorist’ is generally used for a person who causes terror among innocent people. But a true Muslim should only be a terrorist to anti-social elements and not to innocent people. Infact a Muslim should be a source of peace and solace for innocent and righteous people.
Before India achieved independence from British rule, some freedom fighters of India who did not subscribe to non-violence were labeled as terrorists by the British government. These very individuals have been lauded by us Indians for the same activities and hailed as ‘patriots’. Thus two different labels have been given to the same people for the same set of actions. One called them terrorists while the other called them patriots. Those who believed that Britain had a right to rule over India called these freedom fighters terrorists, while those who were of the view that Britain had no right to rule India called them patriots and freedom fighters.
It is therefore important that before a person is judged, he is given a fair hearing. Both sides of the argument should be heard, the situation should be objectively and fairly analyzed and the reason and the intention of the person should be taken into account, and then the person can be judged accordingly. While there can be no justifiable reason for killing innocents, it is also patently unfair to accuse any of killing innocents without a fair trial and process of justice.
Regarding Osama bin Laden, one does not know whether he is good or bad. I have not met him personally nor do I know him. I cannot give my opinion based on the reports of BBC or the CNN. Most of the news on the international media is tailor-made to suit ulterior motives and suited to project the image what they want.
The Qur'an says:
“O you who believe! If a wicked person comes to you with any news ascertain the truth lest you harm people unwittingly and afterwards become full of repentance for what you have done.” (Al-Qur'an 49:6)
With regards to the last part of your question, Islam forbids killing of innocent people. The Qur'an says:
“ … If anyone slew a person unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land it would be as if he slew the whole humanity: and if anyone saved a life it would be as if he saved the life of the whole humanity.” (Al-Qur'an 5:32)
Killing any innocent human being, whether Muslim or non-Muslim is not allowed in Islam. Even in the circumstances of war, this aspect is not to be ignored. The first caliph of Islam, Abu Bakr As-Siddique (R) is reported to have commanded Usama ibne Zaid (R):
“I command you to do ten things: you must not kill a woman or a child, or an elderly person; do not cut down trees, or vandalize homes, or wound a sheep or camel except if you must eat it; do not drown a palm tree, or burn it, do not be treacherous; do not be cowardly; and you will pass by people who have devoted themselves to monastery life: leave them alone with their devotions.” (Tarikh At-Tabari, V.3, p.210)
Thus killing children or innocent people are not allowed in Islam.
And Allah knows the best.

1) what ever you call it Jizya was a part which Muslim empires took from nun Muslims. You call it a Charity but in the Indian history when there was a Muslim empire the collected it as a tax from every Hindus. Even you try to call it a charity you can't change the history because history clearly call it a tax which collected from non Muslims ("Muslim rulers also collected jizya from Hindus and Sikhs under their rule"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jizya).
·

There is a saying that "the Hat of the Muslims can turn to any side at any time and we can't see a difference, therefor we can't trust them". There are some translation which Muslims are changing the meaning of it on their purpose. Muslims even can use the scriptures to collect taxes, or kill nun Muslims at a war time, because you have permission from your God to kill people during a war time and you can marry wives of the dead people. That is a reason for a sex lover to follow Islam. I also liked Islam when I was very small just because it gives a opportunity to have many wives, and same feeling is making Muslims to be attached to Islam as the great psychic Edgar Cayce have said that the all our actions are based on sex which influenced many Muslims ("sex was a creative power which could be used for good or evil"http://www.klienwachter.com/main/EdgarCayce.htm). That main reason keep Muslims highly attached to Islam but it is a selfishness and a many women don't like to share their husband but the religion influences it. Dedicating life to a one women is a great thing and that is the true love as I think. I just wanted to tell you that don't take actions on sex, wealth, power of caste, which will help you to enjoy this live but if you ignore the reality which is in front of you and if you are not brave enough to accept the truth you have put yourself into a big trouble and you will put many ours to the same trouble. I'm not talking about this live I'm talking about the next life which you will would be unexpected. I have seen Muslims cut heads of animals and humans but they expect to go to heaven. Nun Muslim can easily understand that how badly Islam has misguided them.

You have sent this: "“I command you to do ten things: you must not kill a woman or a child, or an elderly person; (Tarikh At-Tabari, V.3, p.210)" which gives permission to kill young people. This is a very dangerous religious scripture. As I told you, you can your religion to kill people. It might be your religion but it is dangerous for the nun Muslims who lives between Muslims. There are good and bad organisations, Islam is a bad organisation which is destroying good values of man kind (eg: compassion to animals, humans etc) and which looks materialism (Islam is perhaps the ONLY "religion" that is totally materialistic. It offers a sensual afterlife, no enlightenment, just endless sexhttp://www.topix.com/forum/religion/islam/T6AFMGSNKR2BNSVQJ).

4.) Buddha don't control nature you have misunderstood. when there are no humans in this world their are only animals in earth and Gods, Brahmas in heaven, so Bodhisathwa (who is developing qualities to be a Buddha) get birth as animals, gods. Bodhisathwa (means before being Buddha) had many rebirth as many animals and he knows about the animal world and their are stories of him which he experience while he were animals. When there is only animals in this world animals can't develop their mind to understand the Dharma, therefor Bodhisathwa will not able to develop and understand the the Dharma to be a Buddha as an animal. The Brain is an important requirement which helps to understand the Dharma which only the humans have on the earth. There are Gods in heaven who have not seen a Buddha earlier and they also learn about Nirvana which they didn't know before. Bodhisattva Maitreya (who will be next Buddha) became the leader of the Thusitha heaven according to the merits he has collected from past lives and the Maitriya is the Bodhisattva who is the current leader of the Thusitha heaven who is waiting to be the next Buddha. Bodhisattvas receives advice and predictions from previous Buddhas when they follow the path.

There are enough living being (animal, ghosts, gods & etc) in this world who receives the opportunity to become a human when it is available for them, it usually happens unconscious without the control of them but the action (Karma) of them and the on the situation (available caste, genes, environment). It happens as same as the energy of this universe transfer which never destroy but changes the place of it. I'm didn't lie, but I guess you haven't understand what I explained to you.

Look what happens to the minority of Buddhists in Bangladesh from Muslims: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=458244797576621&set=vb.438356542898780&type=2&theater . When the majority are Muslims then they create JIHAD terrorist groups to control other religions.

5.) Buddha didn't tell exactly that "very few people (living beings) will achieve it during his period of teachings." I told it to you because there are uncountable living being in this universe. It is available as plenty of elements like Oxygen, Carbon and etc. That too much living beings on this earth will not able to achieve enlightenment during his period. There are many Buddhas in other worlds who do the same thing to make people enlightened. I didn't mean it only to humans, I just wanted to tell you about all living beings. Many humans could achieve enlightenment and many humans will achieve it, and I believe that currently still there are enlightened beings on earth who don't want any publicity. Many people don't try to achieve enlightenment. Because this universe lead us to be more attached, we don't like to remove that attachments. Following the path is a our responsibility, but many people don't follow it, which makes many people to suffer again and again until they understand it. And the problem is in the current cultural environment which doesn't help to create enough enlightened people, because of wars, economical challenges, competitions and currently there are only few teachers we can find who can guide us.

According the the video,
his first (1) question is: If we started from the Karma, what is the beginning of Karma?
2) What there was before the Karma started?
My answers for 1st and 2nd questions:
Karma is action, therefor it is correct that we started from actions of this nature/universe and the Karma is coming together with this universe. As an example, if we take a Hydrogen, and if we look at the start of it, we can imagine that it is coming since this universe started, and the Karma is the start of atoms and etc. According to Buddhism life continues with a Vingnana (Vingnana Dathuwa is a unidentified object which contains our primary mind) which might not look like an atom but it should be a very small thing like an atom which started with this universe. As scientists have discovered, in this universe there are Black Holes (some dead stars becomes black holes) which create stars, galaxies, nebula atoms and etc (http://www.insidescience.org/content/every-black-hole-contains-new-universe/566), and a Black Hole is a part of this universe which grab/collect things (atoms, light, stars) from this universe (http://www.cosmosmagazine.com/news/black-hole-caught-eating-star/) and finally it blows up creating new universes (galaxies, nebula), therefor we can understand that a Black Hole is a small start/creation/beginning/creator of galaxies, starts and etc. And scientists tell that there was a big bang which I think it was also a big Black Hole which blown up and created major galaxies and etc which still being organised and formed. Scientists can't say that it was the only big bang which happened in the history. And it is possible to happen many Big bangs as a cycle of the energy which will never end. Buddha didn't tell about the beginning of Karma/Action but he told if someone try to find the start of it he might even can become mad, and it is not important to know about the beginning of our life or universe, and the Buddha told that this universe is filled with suffering, and therefor we should try our best to achieve enlightenment. As we can understand from Buddhist teachings the Karma/Universe have no beginning. It is not fair to give a person all the rights to introduce an Almighty God, because no one will able to prove it and also how we can believe talks of a person who couldn't even control anything of this universe, humans or himself. If someone who could able to tell about a almighty God, should be able change a person without using a sword. My knowledge about big bang and block holes is enough to understand the cycle of this universe and the endlessness of it. So I don't like to discuss about it more than this, just because I'm dealing with facts, and not with believes.

3) What is the purpose of our this life?
My Answer:
What is the purpose of your life! What if you accidentally die on the next day! Are you sure that you will not become sick tomorrow! Can you control your own body and mind! Didn't you see the sufferings of your own people!, You might not understand the impermanence of the life until something happens to you. The purpose of our life is to do good things to others and to ourselves. And the best thing you can do for yourself it understanding yourself. And to understand yourself, you have to get knowledge from great people of this world, and you should have enough time, intelligence and skills to analyse the knowledge and experience which you collected to choose a right path. I know some people who developed their mind to be able to do unbelievable things, therefor I believe in meditation than just believing a God to help me, because I know that if there is a God, he wouldn't be the responsible God who kills very small children to get them into heaven who didn't even know about any religion.

4) How to achieve that purpose of life?
My answer:
It depends on the situation, If someone has a family, he should take care of his family while discovering the purpose of life and fulfilling the purpose of life. The purpose of life is helping each other and understanding ourselves. We know about how to help others or how to take care of others, but the most important thing is understanding ourselves, so we can learn teachings of religions of this world to find answers to understand ourselves. And finally we might able to find a good path to use within our lives. I didn't follow the path which I learned when I was a child, but I tried to find the truth and a better path for my life. Finally I converted to Buddhism. As same as I recommend others to find a better path for their life rather than following a path just because they received it from their family. I think if someone try to find a right path using an open mind to analyse the information and proofs which he find from reliable resources, and without being sentiment or fear to take decisions, then he can find a good path for him to follow. But the path will depend on their knowledge, experience and analyzing skills. However, my path is the path which the Buddha showed. As lay Buddhists we should take the examples of the lay Buddhists who became enlightened at the time of the Buddha. There were many lay Buddhists who achieved at least few stages of mind till they become totally enlightened. They are four stages which we pass on the road to enlightenment. First stage is "Sowahan/Sothapanna" it is like half purified (half enlightened), and that person don't think deeply about himself as a person or a living being. And he thinks about himself as a creation which is continuing on attachment to the pleasures of the world. He has no doubts about the teachings of Buddhism, And they spontaneously protect 5 precepts (not killing, not stealing, not doing any sexual misconduct, not lying, not using intoxicants). But their greed (Loba), anger (Dwesha), illusion (Moha) is not totally removed. However they don't get their rebirth in lower realms (animal world, Pretha (ghost) world, hells, etc), and they don't even get their rebirth in the human world. They only go to heaven and they live in heaven maximum 7 heavenly lives, until the process of the Karma has no reason to give a new body. Because they are in the right path gradually their mind becomes more and more purified. and they achieve enlightenment in heaven without any effort, just because the energy of Karma doesn't create more lives for them. As lay Buddhists, our purpose should be practicing our mind to become at least Sothapanna which will end this circle of live after few more rebirths in heaven. And there are two more stages to pass to achieve enlightenment within this life time. If someone becomes a monk, he can try to achieve any of those stages, from Sothapanna, Sakurdagami, Anagami to Arhath. Or even they can complete the required qualities to become a Pase Buddha (who will understand everything, but not establish a Buddhism) or a Buddha (who has merits to establish a Buddhism). There were many Pase Buddhas on this earth before the Buddha appeared. And there will be more Pase Buddhas in the future who will just look like another monk. I'm not sure but guess there could be a connection between Pase Buddhas and the Rishis (who discovered astrology and Ayurveda) in India. However, currently we hear about people who tells that they have become Sothapanna. But we can't exactly identify a Sothapanna person. But we can't say for sure that currently Sothapanna people are not existing on this world. Some people misunderstand themselves as Sothapanna. According to the history, even after the Buddha passed away, there were thousands of Arhath monks who spread Buddhism, and thousands of Sothapanna men and women who had good family lives and children. So I think we can use those examples to achieves the purpose of our spiritual life.

Question (common): How to meditate?

My Answer: There are many methods. Try my method to develop concentration :-

Sit down, Be relaxed like sleeping.

Say "ALL BE WELL" or just "BE WELL ( Suwa Wewa -in Sinhalese)" in your mind ("may all impermanent beings be well/අනිත්‍ය සියල්ලෝ සුව වේවා" is better to feel both Samatha and Vipassana), say it not slowly not faster, and try to be comfortable while saying it. The speed can make you stressed, so try to protect both normal speed and letting go attitude to reduce the stress.

Give a small concentration to your breathing (just feel it), but don't force it;

Say (ALL) BE WELL like a song, eg (saying "be well"):

BE...(breath goes down when saying "BE...", and then breath can go up and down several times before saying "WE...")....WE...(Breath Continues)...LL...(Same here, and again say 'BE....')..BE...(repeat it again and again).

If you feel that saying just "BE WELL" is too short, then you can say "ALL BE WELL". Take your time, and think nothing else. If you can give a good concentration to those letters then you don't want to concentrate about your breathing.

Many thoughts can come to your mind while meditating, those are the thoughts you need to identify and let go to develop concentration.

Do it for at least 2 hours. It is a very good meditation treatment for your mind and body.. I guess it might be able to lead your mind into a state of Samadhi (Highly focused state). Give at least 2 hours per day for yourself....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"If you can repeat 'May all impermanent beings be well (අනිත්‍ය සියල්ලෝ සුව වේවා)' in your dreams or spontaneously from your mind when go to sleep while meditating, I think then you have given the required priority to your meditation. Because if you really like your meditation object, it will come to your dreams. And we can try to bring it into our dreams to give it the priority to make it spontaneous. Because we know that we are dreaming and we can dream the things we like most. I think, connecting the meditation and dreams can help us to give a good concentration to our meditation."
Question of a friend (Tharindu Jayanetti):
Hi suresh,
Y did u want to create a new meditate method?? There are few method of meditating in buddhism.
My Answer:
Hi, I can explain it. Anapana Sathi (Breathing) Meditation is very difficult. Maitri (Compassionate) meditation is very long. When u concentrate only on breathing sometimes we can't even feel our breath, then it is hard to concentrate. Because Maitri mediation is too long it doesn't help us to develop a Samadhi (Highly focused state of mind), and it takes much time to repeat when we try to say all the parts of it. We can't ignore our breath when we meditate, so I do both Breathing and Maitri mediation at the same time. It really helps me to keep in touch, and to concentrate. But I give more priority to Maitri Meditation.
I just tell "Suwa Wewa (BE WELL)", I mean for everyone and it is very easy to focus on it to develop a Samadhi (Highly focused state of mind). It is very easy and very powerful for me, and it gives very good feelings into my mind and body when I do it.
People don't really relax themselves when they meditate, that is y I told to be relaxed like sleeping. And when we say BE WELL (Suwa Wewa) like a song it helps us to keep in touch with the meditation to focus on every letter of it. I meant we should give more time to say it once to fully concentrate on it.
This is only a Samatha Meditation (a section of meditation which just use to develop concentration and peace of mind). I don't want to change meditation methods, you can use only breathing meditation if you are comfortable with it, and I just wanted to make it easy to do, that is why I used some methods together. We can use any object for our meditation, and there is no limit to meditation. We can do meditation when we walk, eat or bath, and we just have concentrate on it. I hope you will understand.
Meditation Objects:
Vipassana (Vidarshana) Meditations:
1.) Impermanent, Unsatisfactory, Non-self (Empty/Anatta)
2.) This body is just blood, bones and flesh, not a living being or a person.
3.) All impermanent beings be well / අනිත්‍ය සියල්ලෝ සුව වේවා
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My practice to be a stream-enterer (Sotapanna - which is the protection till we achieve Nirvana.)

1.) When I see any special thing, I say Suwapath Wethwa (be well).. eg: poor, rich, healthy, unhealthy, good or bad people and etc..

2.) Every time as possible I remind the Vipassana (Vidarshana) Meditations.. eg: non-self and etc..

3.) I think and I determine everything I do as a normal human being (lay Buddhist) is to Develop Samadhi (unattached and still mind).. Some things can be seen as worldly things to people those who see me from outside, but from my mind I use it to calm my mind and to protect relationships which I need to live as a normal human being.. Eg: working, eating, enjoying with family, learning, helping people etc..

4.) As a Buddhist I try my best to make relationships only with those people who try to protect minimum 5 precepts (Pancha Seela). But because of the need of the social relationships I don't expect 8 or 10 precepts from the people around me.

5.) Meditate everyday (10 - 120 minutes), if possible.

6.) Think and imagine to be a stream-entered (Sotapanna) heavenly being for your next life, if you couldn't achieve Nirvana within this life.
