Protect Ex-Muslims And Let Them Reveal Truth - Page 7

Do we still need Islam in this world?
A district and sessions court on Saturday sentenced Junaid Hafeez, a former university lecturer in Multan, to death on blasphemy charges.
His previous lawyer, Rashid Rehman, was shot dead in May 2017 in his office.
  • Fathima Mohamed This is preposterous. So much for the blood thirsty peaceful religion of Islam. It's the greatest curse on Earth. Disgrace on you Pakistan !!! Shame ! You join the league of the most barbaric and backward of nations. Now I quit understand and appreciate why India cold shoulders you.
Islam is the Right Path Yes, We need Islam and the whole world should be Islamic, then it will be a very peaceful place.

No one has the right to Insult Islam. I don't see anything wrong with this.

Allah is the only God.

Mohamed Suhabthan Admin of this page is doing blasphemy. Wait for the time.

Suresh Ranrahas Forexsigs Death is a simple thing in Islam. Islam and the rules of Muslims countries kill humanity. Islam and some Muslims kill innocent people and kill humanity. ☹️ Those who support it can go to hell too.

  • Venerable Paññānattā Armeniave don't any of you have any answers? or you are worried about your safety. If you want, you can reply me with a personal message
  • Zayir Hameed 1.Yes I have left Islam, difficult say if am safe or not because I am very much closeted.
    2. So far we haven't heard any cases being killed ,only disowned and immensely pressured and shunned by the family and community
    3. In my case I am an atheist

    4. I cant speak for others in my case I accept certain aspects of Buddhism but not in entirety specially Karma and Rebirth.
5.Mostly a non violent philosophy but it has been turned into a religion by people with vested interests.
6.Yes certainly for some degree, but things are returning to normalcy
    7. Yes there are women
8.It depends on where they live and family background, there instances individuals become Buddhists
9.They are not afraid of everyone only the racists type, they think racism on the rise. Some do despise Buddhism because of the behaviour of racists and the behaviours of certain monks.Still majority views it has a non violent philosophy

  • Ahamed Rahman Thank you for the questions, there are many ex-Muslims, but non of them are here in this group with their original identity, so you may not be able to get many answers.
I would like to give my answers. Pls find my individual answers.

    1. Nobody except my ex-Muslims friends know that I have left Islam. My family things that I am not praying and I am weak in faith. (That happens to Muslims too) They don't know that I have left Islam. If I say it in public, I am not safe. I will face many problems and the last one would be being murdered, if I question the religion.

    2. So far no such cases that relatives try to kill ex-Muslims, because almost most of the ex-Muslims are in closet. There are few cases I know, in one case siblings try beat the one who left Islam, made injuries too. In another case, ISIS tried to kill one of the public ex-Muslims two times. He was forced to leave his house. One ex-Muslims was killed in Tamil Nadu for leaving Islam in 2017.

    3. I am an atheist. Active ex-Muslims are either atheists or agnostics. If someone accepts another religion, he / she does not need to have the ex-Muslim identity in general.

    4. Yes, there is one Muslim girl I know / heard about her, she is not identifying herself as ex-Muslim, but she like Buddhism.

    5. I see two things. One is (a) Buddhism as a philosophy, the other thing is a (b) religion like what we see in Sri Lanka.

    (a) I don't disagree much with Buddhism, but I will not choose to become a monk, I don't agree with it. I have no objections in adults choosing to become monks. I don't see Karma and rebirth / previous birth as believable things.

    (b) I am afraid of the religion. It can turn out to be violent anytime like Islam or Hindutva of India. The Buddhist religion can do harm in Sri Lanka, any monk can create violence. I don't agree with making kids an monks, same as child marriage in a sence.

    6. Yes, more difficult, because Sinhalese, Tamils and Christians consider me as a Muslim, but I am not a Muslim. When I say that I am not a Muslim, some of them think that I am doing Al-Thaqqiya. As I answered to the first question, my family and friends do not know about my faithlessness.

    7. Yes, there are women, but compare to the number of men, women are less in number. I have a strong feeling that more women would leave Islam very fast, if they are properly educated about Islam.

    8. If he is in a Muslim populated area, he would face troubles. If he is in a mixed or Muslim minority area, not much issues. Whatever, most of the families would disown them. If it is a girl, she will have to face more problems.

    9. They are afraid to racism.

I hope that I provided you the answers within my capacity.

    • Venerable Paññānattā Armeniave You gave a very detailed answer for which I am grateful.
I want to say about children's monasticism. I am also against this, like many other monks. child monasticism exists in our time for 2 reasons. 1 are orphans. 2 are the children of stupid parents
who send their children to the monastery for the sake of prestige. such monasticism harms both the monk and other Buddhists.
about racism. the term racism is wrong. Buddhists do not respect Muslims not because of their nationality. but because of religion itself. because Islam is an evil religion. Buddhists are annoyed that most of the business in Sri Lanka is owned by Muslims. Buddhists are annoyed by women's clothing when the face is completely covered. Buddhists are annoyed that some Muslims want to marry Buddhists. for example, my friend’s monk’s sister married a Muslim. then broke all ties with her family.

  • Gihan Bu Gihan Venerable Paññānattā Armeniave ( Swaminwahansa) : before we teach or express Buddhism, we must have to change lot of things in present Buddhism in Sri Lanka... Today some of Buddhist temples become hindu temple, some Monks worship gods in temples. According to my knowledge lord Buddha said gods or anyone can't do anything, everything happen "karma" (your harvest is base on what you sow). we hope to listen and practice " Abhidharma, meditation and Buddhist theories..ect", but some Monks say "kalina bana"( useless things) .. behavior of some monks are bad (previous comment video).. it is not Buddhism. we must spread kindness to animals, humans, gods, every life in universe and also our enemies.. According to Buddhism we all are in same boat( sinhala, muslim, hindu, animals, gods,.. every life in universe), if we don't become "sowahan, sakurdagami, anagami, arahath"

I don't like to blame any monks, if they didn't do "parajika".. but there are very few monks who follow previous things that I mentioned, but it highlight.. i think all monks must get together and discuss and correct this mistakes ( " dharma sangayana")

Lord Buddha said that " buddhism destroys, because of monks" ..

If there is any wrong thing, forgive me..
    2
    • Venerable Paññānattā Armeniave all you said is true. even during the time of Buddha 2600 years ago there were many such monks. Everything in samsara is subject to a process of destruction. Buddhist Dhamma is no exception. Buddha spoke about this for a long time. We are not able to stop the process of general degradation. but we may not participate in this process of degradation. I do not condone the bad behavior of some monks. there are huge problems in the sangha. But just trust my words. in non-Buddhist countries, monks can be so bad that many people hate and despise monks. I have been living in Sri Lanka for 9 years and have always treated me well. for example you. although he told me sad facts but called me respectfully Swaminwahansa.

    • Suresh Fxtrader Wanayalae I used 'Satipatthana Sutta' to make a video about Mindfulness. And I listen to it and think about it almost everyday to remove the identity of Self (Sakkaya dittiya) to be a stream-enterer (Sotapanna): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQsxovCJR4M

I think we should listen to it or think about it everyday around 7 years if we really want to attain Nirvana in this world or in a Heaven or Brahama world.

    • Venerable Paññānattā Armeniave if you want to become sotapana then I seriously advise you to become a monk and live in a good monastery. for example in Lubunoru Senasana Aranya
    • Suresh Fxtrader Wanayalae Yes I agree with you. I just wanted to make ways to help Lay Buddhists practice the teachings of the Buddha to become Sotapanna. I know that the best way to become Sotapanna is becoming a monk and living in a good monastery. Personally, I wanted to be a monk, but then it changed with the time. I don't know whether I'll be a monk or not in the future. However, thank you for your great advise. 🙏🙏🙏
    • Venerable Paññānattā Armeniave Suresh Fxtrader Wanayalae no way to become a monk? not everyone has the opportunity. then practice as a layman. treat people as it is written in Sigalovada sutta. and meditate as written in the Satipatana Sutta. and I think you will have good results!

    • Suresh Fxtrader Wanayalae Venerable Paññānattā Armeniave . 🙏🙏🙏 My mind is not yet ready to become a monk, I should be a calm person first. I was not a Buddhist, so I was not familiar with Buddhism. And I have few worldly goals and attachments too. I really like to be a monk, but maybe I'm too late for it. However, If I could remove the attachments then I will think about it later. Thank you so much for the advise. 🙏🙏🙏

I am having depression. I know a lot of ex muslims face same thing. It is causing depression because of family and peer pressure. I regard myself as no longer a Muslim. I disbelieve Islam Quran and Hadith and all of it. I attempted to tell my wife by hint but she went mad. She scolded me not to say those things again. I intend to keep quiet because I fear for my life as I am in a islamic country. But now i feel distant and alone as my own family is going against me. Can ex muslims share what you do to ease the stress. Leaving the country is out of the question brcause although my family disagree strongly with my being ex muslim (they start to doubt my faith but unsure), i still love them as they are. i am guessing i will be a closeted ex muslim till the day i die. thanks for reading.

  • Infinity AB Bro, I have passed through the same situation. I used to debate my family and friends on such topic and they turned against me .
My mother took me to Haj just to ensure that I am still a Muslim.
Bro, it's better not to discuss such stuff with your fami
ly at any cost because they will never ever understand. Share only with same mindset freinds otherwise it can cost your life as the punishment of leaving Islam is death( through Islam claimsitself as a religion of choice).
Portray Islam as being misused while acting as a muslim , will give you more leverage to criticize than totally going all on war as a non muslim.
After two years I have managed to build a healthy relationship with my friends and family by not discussing such topics. They have emotions related to their religion and hurting them physically or criticising their religion behaves the same and no body wants to do hurt his/her family.
    Wish you best of luck.

Islam is the Right Path Islam has given the necessary rights to the women.
What the western culture calls women rights is not women rights, that's exploiting women.

Islam knows how to treat women and men.
Women never can be equal to men.
You still have women and men (girls and boys) teams and events in all the sports events including World Cup sports and Olympics.
You know, women and men are not equal at all.

If so, why can't Indian women team play cricket with Sri Lankan men team?

Please keep your fake women's rights away.
Islam is the protection to the women.
Islam knows how to protect the women.

Thank you for confirming that Islam endorses misogyny and considers women to be property. We knew this already. Now off you fuck elsewhere. 🙂

That’s right, my servant. Women can never be equal just like goats can never be equal with men. It’s the reason why Sunan Abu Dawud says there is no prescribed punishment for having sexual relations with animals. A goat or camel can be your wife just as the female human you possess.

You mind your own business!

You treat your women well without sending to Middle East for household work! And your women are doing prostitution because you don’t treat them well.
And don’t send your mom to elderly house when she gets older.

For 1350 years, Islamic Scholars insisted the earth is flat. There are YouTube videos on that (https://youtu.be/TmetQD1q4bY).
This is based on at least 5 verses in the Quran that clearly say the earth is flat like a rug, carpet, bed, and spread. All this changed when a man landed on the moon in the 1960's. Subhan Allah.

CEMSL calls upon the Government to Abolish MMDA and Establish only One Law for All
Council of Ex-Muslims of Sri Lanka (CEMSL) celebrated the third Anniversary and held the Annual General Meeting on 26th December 2019 in Colombo. CEMSL was founded in 2016. The prime objective of CEMSL is to establish a community, provide emotional and moral support to Sri Lankan Muslims who leave Islam and recognize themselves as non-religious.
The gathering observed a minute’s silence for the victims of Easter Sunday Bombings.
A new Committee was elected for the year 2020. Mr. Rishvin Ismath was appointed as the spokesperson for CEMSL, while closet members were elected for other positions. Rishvin Addressed the house in a speech that is made public.
A discussion was conducted in regard to concerns over the safety and security of ex-Muslims in Sri Lanka because ex-Muslims could be among the prime targets of Islamic extremists and terrorists. The issue of discrimination from friends, family, co workers and the wider Muslim community towards ex-Muslims was also brought up by the members.
Council of Ex-Muslims of Sri Lanka passed the following resolutions at the AGM and urge the government to act upon the following key points. CEMSL hopes action upon these will make our country safe and better for everyone.
1. Abolishing Muslims Marriage and Divorce Act :
All the citizens should be brought under the civil marriage act. Muslim Marriage and Divorce Act (MMDA) should be abolished because it harms Muslim women and establishes them as second-grade citizens. It overpowers Muslim men and imposes sanctions/prohibitions on Muslim women resulting in inequality and women inferiority. MMDA goes against the basic human principles of freedom and equality. One Law for All should be ensured.
2. School Curriculum should be based on Secular Humanitarian Values:
School syllabus should be amended to incorporate secularism, passages, and chapters that incline towards religious intolerance should be omitted. Secular humanitarian values should be encouraged. Myths and Superstitious beliefs should not be indoctrinated to students.
3. Religious and Ethnic Segregation of Schools Should be Discarded:
The current School system that observes religious and ethnic segregation should be discarded. Students from all races and religions should be allowed to intermingle in order to create a society that rejects racism, religious intolerance, and extremism. Every School should be open to everyone, and schools should observe secularism rather than adhering to customs and norms of a specific race or religion.
4. Ban Use of Loud Speakers to Control Noise Pollution:
Regular use of Loudspeakers should be banned at places of worship as it results in unnecessary noise pollution. Large areas around the places of worship are affected by this noise, which causes discomfort and uneasiness for the surrounding populations, especially infants, students and people suffering from different disorders and health conditions are adversely affected.
5. Ban Female Genital Mutilation:
Internationally Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is considered a crime of severe nature, but it is being secretly practiced in Sri Lanka by Muslims for a long time, its prohibition should be legislated that culprits are brought to justice.

Mahābhārata (not much older than around 400 BCE, and the text probably reached its final form in 4th century CE) written by Vyasa
Bhagavad Gita may have been composed in or after the 3rd-century BCE (3 centuries after the Buddha)
      Valmiki's Ramayana (500 BCE to 100 BCE)
A category about central philosophical concepts and ideas of Hinduism called 'Upanishads' were made using Veda, after the time of the Buddha.
Suresh Ranrahas Forexsigs The Hebrew Bible is not older than 6th century BCE.
According to Louis Ginzberg's Legends of the Jews, the twenty-four book canon of the Hebrew Bible was fixed by Ezra and the scribes in the Second Temple period. [The Second Temple period in Jewish history lasted between 516 BCE and 70 CE,[1] when the Second Temple of Jerusalem existed.]

According to the Talmud, much of the Tanakh was compiled by the men of the Great Assembly (Anshei K'nesset HaGedolah), a task completed in 450 BCE, and it has remained unchanged ever since.

The Old Testament is the first part of Christian Bibles, based primarily upon the Hebrew Bible (or Tanakh). The Hebrew writing was thought to stretch back no further than 6th century B.C..
